I don't know why they could not just have sent one to the entire user base?
It's a nice gesture, but while everyone is being affected by the downtime, only the lucky ones who logged in and saw the news, get a potion.

Even more so, Baroness, there were people that logged in, and did not see it, as the post was made after they logged in.
Or people like myself that were locked out and was not able to get on the site, even after it was up and running for others.
Something like this, I agree, if it was really meant to go out to people and be a sorry the server fried kind of thing, it should have been sent to everyone, not just oh, if you're lucky, you get to get this thing that not everyone is going to get.
Not bitter, no, because I'm not into the game like that, and because I just collect, not a breeder or anything, but disappointed that I missed something I would have liked to have collected for the novelty, and really through no fault of my own.
That kind of short sighted thinking can quickly alienate a user base.

I went to collect mine on Friday and it said there was no advent for today... Hosed again. I'm getting really frustrated here...
