Site Update
Actually I don't have any ugly to talk about. But we do have some good and some bad.
First, the bad:
- Creating new CDs has been disabled. After a lot of discussion, it seems that the income being yielded by CDs is causing a lot of detriment to the economy. You can still collect CDs that are maturing on the date that they mature as usual. It's a sad choice, but one we've had to make. We've been aware that the CDs are causing economy damage for a while, and while it will hurt to lose that income, the economy will be better as a result without GP and BP inflation.
Now, the good:
- You can now see when your breedings were assigned to a helper (breeding artist) by viewing them in the standing stones.
- You can now set your pet's breeding rules on the edit pet page, which will list them as searching for breeding mates
- You can now search for pets that are searching for breeding mates in the Search function (meaning, they have breeding rules). I think eventually we will expand this, but for now here's a simplified version of finding mates and viewing their rules.
- You can cancel your customs in your custom waiting queue if you see anything wrong with it/no longer want it, and resubmit as necessary.
- This isn't anything you can see, but two updates to the breeding panel make reviewing and handling predict submissions much less strenuous for the predicts team.
Coming up in the next hour or so:
- Being able to send people BP and GP anonymously from the Bank page. This is being worked on right now

I'm going to miss my GP interest every month, too, but it's pumping GP into the economy that is in no way backed by USD. I say just rip the Band-Aid off quickly! We're big boys and girls. ;)

Sad to see CD's go... that's the only way I was able to gain any decent GP. Now the trick will be keeping it not spent when it comes out of cd.

I hope removing CDs will be a good thing in the long run, I just feel like it might lead to more people doing even less on this site in the short run. I mean, I'll have to spend more time acquiring BP, but a lot of people won't have the GP that makes the economy go 'round and keeps the player artists interested in this site anymore. Hmm. But that's just my non-artist speculation. ;P

I won't miss the CDs. It was never enough of a benefit for me to justify locking my money away...maybe I just wasn't investing enough, but either way, I'm glad it will help the economy. I love the breeding updates though! Nice features for sure :3

Though it is kinda sad to see CD go, the other news are very awesome. Yay. Hopefully maybe one day we'll be able to cancel our breeding too if we overlook something or what.

I think I'm one of the very few that's perfectly fine with the CDs being gone. X3 I mean, yes, I did use the feature occasionally, but for the time I had to wait and the amount I'd get back, I'd rather just Adventure for an extra hour or two a week to make up for it. As for the breeding updates, those are fantastic features! And I certainly love being able to cancel customs. I doubt I'd ever need to, but sometimes I forget little things like turning the shading layer back on or something, so it's very appreciated. Thanks so much, Slash! <3
