As per your suggestions, we have added some HA Contest-specific rules to the game, which can be found directly on the contest page for your convenience! They are as follows:

- Winning entrants of the weekly HA contest must let a minimum of three weeks pass before entering again.

- Users are not permitted to offer any form of compensation or incentive for HA votes, which includes tips, gifts and contest or raffle prizes.

- Users may only advertise their HA entry in a signature, profile, or Human Avatar Chat.

- Otherwise, the soliciting of votes is not permitted through private messaging or any other system, including those that are offsite.

These rules are effective starting June 18th, so make sure to look them over before entering in the upcoming round. We may adjust these as needed, but the game was in dire need of some parameters, so these should help! By popular demand, we also might try some themed HA contests soon. o:

I see what you mean, Les, but the rules kind of cover that. You are supposed to just advertise your own entry ("Users may only advertise *their* HA entry") and it's still confined to a signature/profile/HA chat. So we would definitely clamp down on you, and we'd look into it to see if the friend asked you to do that, etc. - Eri

Really glad about these HA contest updates! Makes it a lot more fun to participate, imo.

Some boundaries are good.

I'm with the commenter about the theme of Just what's available to everybody either through the regular shops or via events. I've seen a ton of HA's that were mediocre (I'm sorry but they were) except for the fancy custom stuff they were loaded with. And I'll be honest, when I vote, I just don't vote for them.
Like somebody said, the custom stuff can very well be works of art unto themselves, but it almost feels at times that the HA contest is more about who has the most money (or the most affluent friends in some cases I suppose) rather than whether they really thought about how to make their HA look like they spent some thought on them.

These new rules make sense, I like them. c: I also agree with the theme suggestion.
Also, I think we should be able to vote twice, one vote for the female contestants and one vote for the male contestants.
