As per your suggestions, we have added some HA Contest-specific rules to the game, which can be found directly on the contest page for your convenience! They are as follows:
- Winning entrants of the weekly HA contest must let a minimum of three weeks pass before entering again.
- Users are not permitted to offer any form of compensation or incentive for HA votes, which includes tips, gifts and contest or raffle prizes.
- Users may only advertise their HA entry in a signature, profile, or Human Avatar Chat.
- Otherwise, the soliciting of votes is not permitted through private messaging or any other system, including those that are offsite.
These rules are effective starting June 18th, so make sure to look them over before entering in the upcoming round. We may adjust these as needed, but the game was in dire need of some parameters, so these should help! By popular demand, we also might try some themed HA contests soon. o:

I have a question, I had won 2nd place in last weeks male ha contest, but im already entered in this upcoming one. do I need to worry about that at all? or am I ok, since it was before the rules were instated?

I appreciate that rules are in place (they've been wanting for a long time), but here's a loophole: If my friend X enters this week and I go around urging people to vote through non-sanctioned avenues e.g. Make a "hey everyone vote for my friend X" post in my shop), will you clamp down on me or my friend or does it not apply at all since X herself technically never sanctioned votes and I am not entered in the contest that week?

I like some of them, but since I don't have a signature, I'd like to be able to advertise my HA entry in, say, my pet design shop thread (should I make both). (eg. a corner of the thread that says, "If you have the time, my HA is also in this contest here!" I don't see a problem with this since you're not bribing anyone for votes, and it's only being advertised in your own thread.)

I would think updating your sales shop (of any kind) would constitute as advertising too x3 people should just be able to see siggies, go to the HA forum or the HA contest page itself to vote. They shouldn't be given any form of a 'heads' up. That'll just turn it into another popularity contest.

Pretty much what Aporro said. If you make a post in a pet design shop about your HA entry, it's pretty obvious that you're looking to boost votes since a HA would have nothing to do with pet designs. Just keep all advertising to your signature, profile or the HA chat. - Eri
