The main point of this newspost is to announce that MBCs have been upped in price in the BP Shop, to 3,000,000 BP each. I know some people might be disappointed in this, but I've seen that they are a bit too easy to get right now with how readily available BP is right now. Price hikes in order to combat a growing Aywas economy are to be expected, so I hope everyone can understand this change! Any items are subject to this within reason, and we consistently monitor the market to balance things out.
I also want to use this post to take people back a bit. Remember this proposition we made about making old x new lineart breedings predict-only? This came into effect March 22nd of this year. It includes Half LBC, LBC, and MBC, and I've realized that many people after that cutoff date continued to submit old x new lineart breedings that sit in the queue and clog it up.
So this is a warning to you all -- it was an unspoken rule in the past that we allowed a month to submit predicts in before you might risk not having them used due to the queue moving along. This is still a reminder for all other breedings to get predicts in quicker, but it pertains to these old x new breedings in particular. All people with an old x new breeding after the above cutoff date have until October 1 to submit predicts for it. After that, I will be going through and refunding all outstanding old x new breedings past March 22nd.
You would be surprised at how much this could potentially speed the queue along. There's still a lot left, and our dedicated artists have done well at cutting down the old x new prior to that date and getting out your offspring! Any before March 22nd will still be completed by artists, so don't fret there.
One last little thing -- please, please be sure to read the descriptions on the new breeding add-ons. There are rules for a reason! For example:
Edit Potion + Hybrid Embryo = Legit! 1 offspring, 50% edits, random hybrid species.
Edit Potion + Greater Fertility Potion = Not legit! Edit Potion = 1 Offspring, so you can't get two!
Artist Palette on a BC breeding = ...Doesn't work for this coin!
My policy is generally not to refund mistakes if I come across them in the queue. If a user contacts me, however, and explains their issue I do take more consideration on a case-by-case basis. If you submit and just neglect to read, though, I won't refund you! So heed this and happy breeding!

And it blows for the queue I agree on this, so I hope things get straightened out soon for it.

I got two MBC's from the apples last month, and I only missed two or three days. Just for the record. As for the price change I think it's fine; whatever needs to be done to stabilize the economy. It's refreshing to see site staff care about site economy, to be honest, compared to the site I come from.

No. The thing is this, this site runs on breedings and custom pets basically, and everything in order to do these things is insanely expensive, either that or insanely hard to obtain. It makes little to no sense to make these things even harder to obtain, none, in the least. Since the GP we spend is money put toward the site. For a better outcome it might be better to make these things a little easier to obtain or a little more accessible. If you're having issues in staffing, have a 'hiring' again maybe, I know there are some people who do stellar edits and predicts on this site. Not flaming anyone, this is just my views on the matter.

As for the site breeding artists, I feel for them, that I do. I know what it's like to be overloaded with work. My gripe is how insanely hard and expensive it is (unless you're insanely gifted with the edits you do or art).

Ah man, I got an oldxnew LBC breeding very recently and I felt so bad during the wait after the rule regarding oldxnew was implemented because I hadn't realized the work involved, even though the breeding had been submitted in like... February or something. Also I am pretty bad at making BP, but I think upping the price on money sink items is pretty fair after there's been a huge influx of the currency... it just makes sense.

Though I should say I realize the change in pricing was not because they are money sink items necessarily, but because of the queue. From either standpoint it may seem unfair, but it's also unfair to load tons of breedings using coins that put no actual money to the site onto the staff to such a degree that something like this even becomes necessary.

Ah okay, I didn't know that haha.
As for the breeding cue issue. I never really understood why they implemented the whole predict thing when we don't have access to the psd's for 9/10's the pets on the site. I am a personal fan of using site pets in breedings, either LBC, MBC or otherwise. But the problem is trying to get predicts done with a png is often below average quality (except for the occasional lucky one). So....there's more workload for the breeding staff and not much improvement on the queue on that front. I don't know (and someone slap me if there actually is a team for it), but perhaps have an MBC breeding staff that only do MBC's instead of throwing them on the LBC artists (again, I'm probably assuming wrongly).
Mind you, I do understand to a degree why the site pet psd's aren't available....it's just....not helping. And I don't think the artists would suffer too much, it's not everyone who wants to pay for predicts or have the skill to make their own so the breeding staff would still have some to do, just not as much.....but anyway, I'm done rambling XD

D: Nooo, I didn't get any MBC's from the apples and the only reason I have millions is because GP is so expensive(so I'm saving to buy a bunch), I don't really have extra to buy MBC's with and that was before the price hike. (I have plios I want to breed and everything) However I do understand the reason behind it even if I'm not happy about it. So as annoying as a price hike is I do hope it helps with the breeding queue.

*confused* I don't get how you can have two breeding addons on the same breeding, I thought it was only one add-on per breeding....or am I missing something :s
