This pet is old, just like the accounts being purged.
We are in the process of contacting the owners of accounts that haven't been logged into for a year or more. Among non-responses are people who respond that they want their account deleted. So, we deleted the accounts, and put the account IDs on factory fresh accounts, freeing up those IDs for one of you :)
If you'd like to participate in any of the raffles for freed-up account IDs, head on over to the Events forum.

Purges will happen every three months or so after that

Just curious since I'm not away from my account for long, but what will you consider to be inactive? It would be a bummer to go on hiatus or something and have your account deleted.
Or would there be a way to save your account from this, such as putting on your profile 'On holidays from - - - 'till - - -, don't delete!' xD

I have an old account that I had given to a friend but it appears she didn't change the email address. This account used to be a shared account but my lair partner moved to a lower ID and I was on hiatus so.. I tried to change this account to my other email but it's still in use it says. I am eagerly awaiting that email. I thought accounts used to get purged every 3 months though, or did that change?

Oooh! I'm already eyeing a special ID. I hope everyone will have their GP blown until it gets raffled off ;D
