Breeding Pendants: Discussion and Poll

We said we would be back for your input on some big changes, so here we are.
We've been making many short-term changes to breeding lately, namely in the withholding of Coins until the queues die down. However, there was one aspect that we didn't touch on at the time as we were still working to gather ideas on how we could compromise between fairness to the userbase (you guys!) and to everyone working behind the scenes on the breeding panel.
So now, let's discuss breeding pendants.
Unfortunately or not, depending on where your opinions lie, Breeding Pendants are going to have to change. However, we wanted to let everyone share their voice and opinions on the matter. We've come up with a few ideas that we think you'll like!
Pendants become predict-only, but the regeneration time is reduced. This means that Pendants will work as Half Breeding Coins, but will have a faster regeneration time than they currently do.
Pendants have their regeneration time doubled. For instance, Breeding Pendants currently have a 3-month cooldown. If this option wins, that time will be doubled to a 6-month cooldown, and so on as applicable for each Pendant.
Pendants take more time to regenerate but can be traded in for a predict-only version that retains the original regeneration rate. The new rate will be discussed among staff, but, as said, the Pendant could be traded for a version that works as a Half Breeding Coin with the current cooldown.
Pendants have a longer regeneration time but owners are compensated with a regenerating custom-making item. This will vary between Pendants, but if, for instance, a Pendant that could be used 4 times a year was changed to having a regeneration time that made it so it could only be used 2 times a year, then the custom-making item would have those 2 lost uses per year. As Eve put it when we were discussing it, " 4 uses reduced to 2, custom maker gives 2 uses a year"
The 2nd most voted-for option with the addition of turning in the Pendant for another item. This one is fairly straightforward -- if this choice wins, we'll take the option with the 2nd highest vote count and then, later down the line, release a second poll with options for the turn-in.
We understand that some of you are going to be upset, that you feel like your Pendant isn't worth what was paid for it, but we also need to maintain a balance on the site to ensure our breeding artists don't get burnt out almost before they begin. Staff hopes that these options, or at least one of them, will appeal to you!

Exotic Pet Palace Stock

"As some of you may have noticed, my Exotic Pet Palace has received a new stock of pets! They're eager and awaiting new loving owners!"
In case you weren't aware, the Exotic Pet Palace is on a stock rotation schedule with the stock changing every 3 months. After the 3 months, the pets currently in stock will be permanently retired and a new stock will replace them. So get them while you can!
If you want to have the chance of getting a design of yours into the pet shop, go ahead and submit them to the Pet Coloration Submissions forum. Most of the submitted designs will be put into Adventure, but some random designs will be kept to go into the pet shop!
If your design is now in the pet shop please contact Lacia (#25044) for your free copy. That's right, if your design is accepted and put in the shop you get a free copy. That could save you a good amount of BP!

Gradient Gargoyle gets a Great-ient Update!

Who's that? The Mini Gradient Gargoyle? Oh, he's holding some papers... He's put on his reading glasses... It looks like he has some important updates for you guys!
The Mini Gradient Gargoyle is now compatible with MBC, LBC, and SkBC!
For MBC and LBC, it will add a gradient to one of the markings on the offspring. In order to work, however, all parents must have their PSDs attached with the markings separated.
If it's added onto a Sketch breeding, it will act as a Derpy Dragon with an edit between founders!
Oh, now he's shuffling his papers so I guess he has more to say!
This is a reminder that if you are applying to any of the panel teams (GCC, SCC, or MDT) you must PM Juke (#7625) along with your payment preference, either GP or Artist Credit.
This is to ensure that you're placed on your preferred team as quickly as possible!

There are 200 Radioactive Breeding Coins up for grabs in the Premium Shop! The queue is getting VERY low, so go buy coins and breed some mutants :D
Remember, if you want to submit predictions to your breeding please check the "Will have Predictions" button, otherwise it will get assigned!

Exotic Pet Palace Warning

"Hello everyone! I wanted to give you a bit of a heads up that I'll be changing the stock in my shop come July 15th! So if you want to own any of these pretty pets I currently am selling in the Exotic Pet Palace, you should buy them before July 15th. On July 15th, they will be permanently retired and new pets will take their place."

Artist Updates!

We have some breeding updates/announcements for everyone, so bear with me please!
First off, is a new item especially for active artists!
The Breeding Art-age Bag is a special openable item that will be given to all active breeding artists (active means that you have completed a breeding in the last 30 days). When opening this item, you will be given 2 random items that have been put in there! There are lots of cool things like Half Breeding Coins, Hybrid Custom Crystals, Claw Cloners, Breeding Add-ons, and even more.
You can see the full list of items at the bottom of this KB article!
If you did not receive this item and think you should have, please PM Kita #3988 and she will look into it for you!
If you have a Painted Breeding in queue, this message might be for you!
Please check the notes and PSDs of your painted breedings are complete! In ONE WEEK (July 11, 2020) Painted breedings that are missing a PSD, missing a theme, missing artists for painted pens, or missing something that is required for the breeding to be completed it will be refunded and you will need to resubmit the breeding.
This will also include Painted breedings with copyrighted or improper notes for the theme and colors. A Painted Breeding is not a commission, so please do not be overly descriptive or detailed in your notes. Please see the Painted Coins KB for more details.
Site Artist Article!
If you have a ticket or painted pen on your breeding please make sure you update it to current artists! Depending on the coin, there may only be a few active artists. Keep an eye out on the list of artists as we may be adding some soon! If you are using a Sketch Ticket make sure you have 3 active artists listed, or it will be refunded. If there are not 3 artists on the list you are interested in, please choose the "Will have Predicts" option to have your breeding removed from the visible queue until you're ready with your artist list!"
-Ticking the box will keep your place in line when you untick it later, and if you bred to someone else's pet, save you having to re-breed, like would happen if breeding is canceled.

For ANY team, you may apply using examples of predictions you have created, or edited pets (in the case of edited coins) you have made in the past! You do NOT have to use the linked application if you do not want to!
We are looking to hire artists for both the Blind Date/Eggnog Team and Grand Team! If you are interested and would like to apply please PM Kaiyo (#489) with the message title being the team you are applying for and your username (Ex. "Blind Date/Eggnog Application - Kaiyo").

Please include whether you have been on a breeding team before, even if it was temporary!

Lists can be any size you can handle, but typical is 5 pairs.
- The deadline is typically 7 days.
Sketch coins produce unbreedable, silver pets.
- So all artwork must be unique and redrawn, but still, look like a baby the parents would produce.
Sketch Breeding Coins pay 14 GP per baby or 21 Credit per baby.
-- When USD Prepay or Contracts are avaliable, priority is given to current active artist on the GP and AC teams

Quick info:
This coin mixes the same genus pets, with edits.
There no requirement to re-draw anything, but, some skills with masking, or breaking apart PSD's is helpful.
Being able to work with PNG X PNG, or PNG X PSD is a plus, however, Kandria will work with you to teach if you don't know-how.
- Please note in your application, if you need help with them, Still do the pairs the best you can as well so we can see what level you are at!
LBC artists are able to choose the number of babies made per list.
They have a deadline of 10 days per list.
Artists are paid 10 GP per baby or 15 Arist Credit per baby.
The Breeding Coin and Holiday Breeding teams are also looking for artists! Please Pm Kita #3988 examples of BC predictions, edited pets, or completion of the application found in the Breeding Forum.
BC and HBC artists are paid 30 GP per baby, and 40 GP per 50% edited baby.
If they choose to be paid in credit artists are paid 45 Credit per baby, and 60 Credit per 50% edited baby.
Use the promo code "meme me daddy" when applying and Kita will send you a meme every time you turn in a list!
Scribble and Smudged Scribble are next! With a pay starting at 25 GP per breeding and adding 5 GP per extra offspring after the first per breeding, it's pretty dang good, if I do say so myself. Of course, you can also opt in for the equivalent of Artist Credit if you'd prefer!

Next on the list is our very own Rusted team! They're all masters of redrawing markings to fit new bases for 10 GP per breeding, so if you feel like that's your thing, then feel free to check out this thread and give Kozmotis #48993 a shout!
And we're not done with Kozmotis' teams just yet! The Painted teams are in need of some new faces, particularly Painted Lesser. Follow prompts and mix edits -- or not, for Painted Metal -- and get yourself either 9 GP per PMBC or 11 GP per PLBC!

But wait! There's more!
