Concept Art Contests
Contests
There are two contests about to kick off: pet concept art contests. Essentially, you will be able to design the next quarter's hybrids and the next month's raw crystal pet. The threads with the highest amount of User Support win.

Hybrid Concept Forum | Raw Crystal Pet Concept Forum
Basically, you can submit a thread with your concept in it. Your job as a user is to view the threads and post your support for any concepts you would like to see onsite. As mentioned, the highest supported threads will be introduced onto the site.
After a winner is selected, that round's threads will be wiped and the contest will be re-opened fresh for the next round.
Raw Crystal concept contest ends March 1, and the winning design will be released March 15.
Hybrid concept contest ends March 10, and the four winning designs will be released April 1.
Enjoy, and don't forget to look over the sub-forums as often as you can for designs to support!

I just love the textures and the way this entry was set up. I also love the paint job. It came out gorgeous! A lot of love went into this entry and I'm happy to award it as winner. :)

The Seasonal Shop is open, and will be open until 2/22/2011.
2/22/20...that's kinda freaky, isn't it?
There's a nice collection of cool stuff in there that will hopefully apply to all player types. If you don't see something you like, I don't know what to do with you. xD
Breeding items, custom items, site pet items, HA items, regenerating foods... what more could you want?

I don't think our Love Letters have been activated yet, so you won't get to see the awesome Valentine's pets and HA items until that's done. However, I do have a challenge for you.
Love Potion #9
This strange love potion will allow you to create one of the special Valentine's alt lineart pets with up to 50% edits... awesome!
This is the alternate lineart item that'll be available for a week after the Seasonal Shop opens. Here are the alternate linearts, the melo and the oske, that you can get with it:

Recall that alternate lineart pets can only be LBC bred to pets of their same lineart, and BC bred. They cannot be LBC bred to pets of the same genus but different lineart.
Here's your challenge: come onto Aywas at 6:00 PM on 2/14/2011. If there are 600 or more people online, everyone who is online will get a Love Potion #9 (not to mention, we'd have a new online users record).
Are you down for it?

I made an Aywas Facebook page!
Click the above to go to it (yes, it did kind of kill the quality of that image...)
There are two super cool things going on at that page so far. First, it links to the Official Aywas Group, which is holding a contest - win an alternate hybrid custom by "Liking" the Aywas page by 2/19.
Second, I uploaded spoilers for the Arctic region onto the Aywas page...if you're curious, go check it out... ;)
There's a Facebook feed on the front page of Aywas now so you can check out whatever's new just by landing there. We'll try to hold Facebook contests often, depending on how many people find it worthwhile.
If Facebook isn't your thing, no worries! We're just branching out into new territory. :)
