Oh no! It appears that Greta and Aketch have done a little more than simply stealing something from Querel and hiding it... they've unleashed its contents, which have been turning Aywans! The Zombie A-chomp-calypse has begun!
This event takes place inside The Spoopy Mansion, which is now inhabited by infected and uninfected users. The goal is simple: you must overtake the mansion for the sake of your own team! If your team is able to take over a "room," you will reap the benefits that it gives for an hour while the fight to take it over begins again!
How do we take over a room?
In order to successfully take over a room, your team must account for 51% of that forum's posts. It sounds simple, right? Well, there are also skills that each team can use that will help their chances... and perhaps even help keep uninfected users from being turned!
How do we use skills?
Users can find targets for their skills, also known as spells, by posting in a topic. When posting, a list of users who have posted previously within a certain time frame will be available - you will have to use your spell within a certain amount of time, otherwise it will expire! Users can see an event log of actions taken against them on the sidebar. Play around with the spells to see what all you can do!

What does the icon on a topic mean?
When new topics are created in certain forums, a benefit to posting in that thread will appear! For example, if you create a discussion in the Backyard, you and other users will be able to harvest wood by posting in that topic. Be careful though, because this means the team will be able to post and target everyone as well! Some "rooms" also have healing benefits if you get hurt.
For example, if you are an uninfected user and an infected user lets out gas where you are posting, your immunity will go down. To remedy this, you can run to the Master Bathroom and create a topic to raise your immunity back up.
How do I know where to go for these things?
The best way to survive (or turn other users!) is to work together. If you notice that there is an active topic to get wood, tell your team about it! If you see someone stuck in a gas cloud and you know that the Master Bathroom will help, let them know! A spooky mansion requires thorough investigation, so don't be afraid to be the first to start a discussion in an unknown room!
Even though this may be seen as a team event, contribution is key! Please do your best no matter which team you are on, and have fun!

After searching a location nicknamed The Spoopy Mansion, some Aywans have discovered an empty vial that seemed suspiciously more clean than its surroundings and brought it back to Querel. While he seemed relieved to have it returned to him, the fact its contents were gone seemed to trouble him.
"Okay, since the vial is empty, I'm going to have to ask you to do something really tedious, okay? I need you to see if you can find any of the liquid that was in this anywhere in that mansion," Querel stated, waving the empty container lightly. "They probably just put it into another container, so that should be your starting point to search. The liquid will be, uh, sort of glowing."
Before you could ask any questions, Querel hurried off, seeming to have something weighing heavily on his mind. Well, it's time to go back into the cobwebs and dust to get searching!

Exotic Pet Palace Stock

"As some of you may have noticed, my Exotic Pet Palace has received a new stock of pets! They're eager and awaiting new loving owners!"
In case you weren't aware, the Exotic Pet Palace is on a stock rotation schedule with the stock changing every 3 months. After the 3 months, the pets currently in stock will be permanently retired and a new stock will replace them. So get them while you can!
If you want to have the chance of getting a design of yours into the pet shop, go ahead and submit them to the Pet Coloration Submissions forum. Most of the submitted designs will be put into Adventure, but some random designs will be kept to go into the pet shop!
If your design is now in the pet shop please contact Lacia (#25044) for your free copy. That's right, if your design is accepted and put in the shop you get a free copy. That could save you a good amount of BP!

Ghoulish Gala Seasonal Shop

Oh no! It seems like this little guy was having a good ol' time playing around in everyone's candy bags. The Candy Corn Yisyii has finally made its way to the Spooky Forest, though it should be easy to find since it seems to be in a sugar coma.
The Seasonal Shop is now open! You can use both Candy and Bootato to purchase various pets and items. As a reminder, all of the Ghoulish Gala activities will end in a little over a week, after 11:59 PM AST on October 31st! This includes Frankenstein's Lab, so please make sure to take into account that it takes time to 'reanimate' pets there if you haven't finished creating the pets that you would like to.
The next genus to receive a new line set for the Halloween Concoction #13 is the Odlak! Spooky was favored over cutesy for this one, and we look forward to sharing it with you all!
Have you all been safe while checking out the Spoopy Mansion? It might be a good idea to stick together, since it seems like something may be happening there soon...

"Hello everyone! I wanted to give you a bit of a heads up that I'll be changing the stock in my shop come October 29th! So if you want to own any of these pretty pets I currently am selling in the Exotic Pet Palace, you should buy them before October 29th. On October 29th, they will be permanently retired and new pets will take their place."
It's also time to give away four free customs designed during September under the theme of Moths and Butterflies!

"Hey! Hey you! Yes, you!" Querel exclaimed as you walked past. Despite having the usual grin on his face, there seemed to be a sense of urgency in his voice. "You're always going around and exploring and whatnot, right? Well, I need you to let me know if you see these two," he continued on before handing you two pieces of paper.
"I know, I know, you're probably thinking, 'Oh, but what did Greta and Aketch do?' Well, they ran off with something of mine, and it'll be bad for all of you if I don't get it back, understand?" Before you could ask any questions, Querel promptly continued speaking. "Now, I expected this from Greta, but Aketch... He's been acting strange ever since his 'makeover' or whatever you would call that." After giving an exaggerated shrug accompanied by a sigh, Querel began to walk away.
"Oh, but before I forget! I heard that they may have been spotted around a mansion, but if you happen to go exploring any, be careful. You wouldn't want anything to, uh, bite you."
Somehow this quest Querel has given you seems a little suspicious, but maybe you'd be able to find out what was stolen and return it for a nice reward. Wait, he didn't even say anything about a reward - he better not expect you to help for free!

Pets, The Cauldron, and... Aymas!

The final batch of Ghoulish Gala pets have made their way into the Spooky Forest! Please make sure to capture any pets or gather any items you may want before the end of the month.
The Cauldron seems to be gathering some magical energy... Starting tomorrow, you will be able to have an opportunity to claim your very own custom pet from it! You will only be able to claim one pet, and it is first come, first serve. You will need herbs from The Greenhouse, but you won't know which ones the recipe calls for until the countdown on your side bar reaches zero! Every herb will be used at least once overall, so be sure to have a variety handy!
Though it may still be a little on the warmer side of things outside, winter will be here before you know it! The Aymas submission threads are now open! These threads will be open until 11:59 PM on November 27th, so be sure to plan accordingly if you wish to participate!

Slashbot: Stuffing Changes and Xentori Flutes

Good evening meatlings. I'm back again, did you miss me? I have recently discovered something commonly referred to as 'mustard'. I am intrigued by the yellow hue... But I will not trouble you with that.
It comes with great pleasure that I am able to announce some changes to how Slashbot functions, so please read carefully!
As of October 10 11:59pm the number of Slashbot Stuffings required for uses is changing. They are detailed below, as well as written in the Slashbot article which can be read here.
1 Slashbot Slot - Staff approved news post for a user run event
2 Slashbot Slots - Add a new genus, add a new alt line, single day events without an adventure zone, have a side banner leading to an onsite link
3 Slashbot Slots - Add a new pet with 5 site colorations, add a new hybrid, small event with a custom adventure zone
4 Slashbot Slots - New genus with alt lines and 5 site colorations, or a medium event with a custom adventure zone
5 Slashbot Slots - Large event with a custom adventure zone
These changes are not retroactive, so make sure to send your PMs to #3 before this deadline!
Additionally, you are now able to trade in for Xentori Flutes at any time. The Metal Xentori Flute is used to create a metal custom on any of the "metal" bases. The Blue Xentori Flute is used to create a 50% edited Xentori!
You can trade in one Slashbot Stuffing for a Metal Xentori Flute, or three Stuffings for a Blue Xentori Flute.

Please PM #3 if you would like to trade in some of your Stuffings!
