It's usually not recommended to feed coyotes, but when you take one of these home I'd recommend you do! It might not dance on a bar, or enjoy beer and peanuts, but it could be the perfect guard for you while trick or treating. No one's going to come for your candy with one of these by your side!

A cute Lunaris friend has squeaked on by to wish those born in October a happy birthday! Despite its name, its ears aren't big enough to fly with, but it can fly with magic so there's that!

With pendants becoming predict-only, there will be a change coming to the Radioactive Breeding Pendant. As they are now, you can find them in the SP Shop for 50 SP, and they have a chance to "break," similar to the Radioactive Breeding Coin. The change will be that they will cost 75 SP, but the chance of it breaking will be completely removed. You will still be able to roll for a chance to create a metal baby rather than a Mutant as well!
This change will go into effect on December 1st, giving everyone approximately two months to accumulate SP and make any purchases at the lower price before this change rolls out.
As a reminder, you can earn SP for your written entry winning in the Story Game, getting on the High Score board for a game in the Game List, and for submitting pets to the Event threads!
October brings a little something extra every year - Halloween, which has now been officially named the Ghoulish Gala. It seems that some spirits were a little upset that they weren't invited to the previous gala and have made their own! While all of the features aren't available yet, you can access the Ghoulish Gala Hub for quick and easy navigation to all of the activities you can participate in.
First up is the Advent Calendar! Every day in the month of October, there will be a new item to collect, so don't forget to add visiting it to your list of dailies! If you happen to miss the first day's item due to not being online between the time of this news post and rollover, you can contact Lacia (#25044).
Another activity that is now live is Trick or Treating! Here's a quick refresher on how it works for the old, as well as a helpful guide for the new!
Sending Requests
You can visit the Trick or Treating page to start. Listed there are currently online Aywans interested in accepting Trick or Treat requests. Just click on the "Trick or Treat" button below their name to send the request. You can send requests to an Aywan every 30 minutes. This page will update itself when an Aywan's online status changes.
Processing Requests
On the side menu of the site, there's a Trick or Treat status box. As you receive requests, your visitor count will change. You can click this number (or go to My Visitors) to view your requests. From there, you'll have the option to trick or treat your visitor.
Treating visitors will cost 1,000 BP each at minimum. Tricking visitors is free!You have 15 minutes to respond to a Trick or Treat request before it expires.
If trick or treating your fellow Aywans isn't for you, don't forget that you can always Trick or Treat the NPCs instead! Swing by the Site Characters page and trick or treat them when they are available.
Located on the Trick or Treat status box is a Karma Meter. As you send trick or treat requests or trick visitors, you will incur negative (orange) karma. Vise-versa, treating users will give you positive (blue) karma. Both karma levels have their benefits and risks, so experiment around!
You can now collect herbs from the Greenhouse to use in the Giant Cauldron and Rowan's Potion Brewing, but be wary of what you grab - Minerva is watching! For those of you who obtained Rowan's Coupon during the Snapdragon Ceremony, you may now use it! Every October this item will allow you to successfully grab one herb - even if Minerva catches you! It regenerates every 3 days. Make sure to activate it via your Inventory before snatching any herbs!
The Pumpkin Patch is now open as well! Remember, any and all messages left in pumpkins must follow the Terms of Service. Additionally, the pumpkins cannot be tagged as [M]ature, so do not put anything that may need this tag into the pumpkins. If you pick up a pumpkin that violates either of these rules, please PM a staff member. Be kind, and have fun!
Speaking of ghoulish things, it's time for everyone to vote for which group of Hybrid pets will be considered for receiving a new line art for the Halloween Concoction #13! Remember, while everyone will be choosing which group they like, staff will have the final call on which genus within the winning group will get a new line art.
We will once again be using the chart that Hamner (#13) provided to make things easier! Since Rare won for the Love Potion #9, it is not an eligible category this round.

The Lunar Meteor has officially made its way back into orbit until next year! The winners of the Star Ticket raffles and Wish Upon a Star threads will be announced tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed until then!
The Ruins Rholem was getting a little tired of being cooped up in the BP Shop for so long! Starting today, the Reet will be the currently available Raw pet, meaning that you can also purchase the Ladybug Reet once again! The Reet will stick around until November, so be sure to use your Raw Crystals before then if you fancy the little bug!
We've noticed that every once in a while, the same questions regarding auctions get asked - and so we now have an Auction Overview Knowledge Base article! From our site feature auctions to expectations for forum auctions, this article should have you covered.

Have you been pining for some new Adventure pets? Well, unfortunately this is not an announcement for them yet! As some of you may have noticed, sometimes pets that were submitted in the Pet Coloration Submissions forum have had to been used in the monthly shops.
Due to this, the release of Adventure pets has had to be reconsidered. They will now be released "seasonally," meaning every three months. This will begin starting in November! Additionally, artists will no longer have to wait for the release of new Adventure pets to see if they won the raffle. The winner of the previous month's raffle will now be announced in the Welcome to posts.
Now, onto the winners of the previous raffles!
Congratulations to the following winners: June's Winner, Tsukasa (#78993), for winning a Bronze Custom Orb, and since there were no submissions in July, August's Winners are helix (#50548), who won a Bronze Custom Orb, and Rat Bones (#79964), who won a Gold Custom Orb!

Predict Pool Party - Grace Period

Friendly reminder that you have a little less than a week, until August 31st at 11:59 PM AST (the clock up in the top corner of the Aywas page!), to submit your predictions for PPP perks.
Predictions that are rejected for legitimate fixes will receive 3 days from the date their breeding is rejected after this deadline to resubmit with fixed predictions.
- Predictions that are submitted purposefully to be rejected (ex. like submitting a blank base without the proper add-on, or an offspring with no marking/edit mixes for LBC) will not receive an extension.
- If your prediction is rejected on 8/31, you have until 11:59 on 9/3 to upload a fixed image.
Oh, also!
If you have a Holiday Breeding Coin that needs to be processed, you must post it in the HBC Prediction Check thread and if you have a PBC predict please PM Juke #7625 with the breeding ID! Otherwise they will not be processed!

Have you completed your Museum Collection for a Star Ticket yet? If not, now is the time to do so as there are four Lunar Meteor raffles for you to choose from, all of which require a Star Ticket to enter!
The Glittering Potion can change your pet into your choice of any site pet, and it has three charges! The Metallic Starlight Bottle allows you to create a metal Lunaris custom! The Jar of Sparkles has four charges and will turn your pet into a Lunaris from Lunaris Day 2012! The Bottle of Vampire Glitter allows you to create an up to 50% edited, sparkledog-esque custom of an Uncommon or Token species!These raffles will end alongside the Lunar Meteor event, so be sure to spend your Star Ticket before 11:59 PM AST on August 31st!
