We have a new subforum for breeding artists and their stalkers!
Located under Breeding Chat, Breeding Artist Blogs is where official breeding artists can now host their baby blog threads so you can see their work and chat with them about it!
The Art Gallery has been dusted off and judged!
Appropriately, the theme was the New Year, so here are the first six winners of 2012!

Several new themes have also appeared in the Art Gallery, including a starred one for the week of Valentine's Day. :3 Art Gallery is returning to its normal Sunday updates, so be sure to plan ahead for your entries.
Speaking of the Enchanted Forest, we've added two new pets to hit 50 total for the region, which should make some of those quests a tad more doable. :3
One of the things Yasu is currently working on is getting Adventure items working properly, so I'll keep you posted!

The Ever-Regenerating Bottles and Bonsais
By popular demand, these two items have been turned into unusable collectables, so they won't regenerate anymore and there's no worry about accidentally using them since you can't!
If you sent me one or both of these items and would like to have it back for your collection, drop me a PM. :)
(I will not return glitched Bonsai Trees that mysteriously multiplied in your inventory, though.)
The Enchanted Forest now has Monsters!
You can now find and fight new fanciful foes in the forest!
The issue with the Burnt Bone has also been fixed, so don't be afraid to use it.
We also have some new pets appearing in the Enchanted Forest!
Yasu and I will also be working on some lingering Adventure issues this evening, among other things.

Weapons and Armor - Working
I assigned the appropriate attributes to these items and updated their descriptions, so they should now be operating correctly. If you experience any problems with them, let me know.
Sharp Icicle Release
This foreboding Sharp Icicle weapon can now be found restocking permanently in the Not-Stolen Weapons Shop. (It also works, hooray!)
Aywapedia Ghost
There were two duplicates in the Aywapedia for the Glowtail Orimi, one was correct, and one wanted to be a Gael. So, to fix this I replaced the ghost Gael with this snowy fella that can be found in the Arctic:
This is a little fix but I just wanted to announce it so everyone knew where this pet came from. XD
Holiday Wardrobe - Image Fixes
A few of the items had alignment or display issues, but I think we took care of all of them. :3
New Staff Page!
Thanks to Slash and Yasu, we now have a snazzy new staff page where you can get a snapshot of what we do so you have a little more direction when searching for the right person for your question! We're still tweaking some things, but I was too excited about this not to share.

Shelter Event
Pets
January is a tough time for shelters. Puppies and kittens are a popular gift for Christmas, but by the time January and February roll around, local shelters are hit by a wave of unwanted Christmas presents. When the novelty of the gift wears off, puppies and kittens are unloaded on shelters in droves, often overwhelming them.
I got my cat from a shelter, and I've been planning on making a large donation to the shelter I got her from. Here she is, by the way.
If you'd like to join with me and contribute to the shelter, I am selling metal customs of the above Oske lineart for $10.00. Half will go to the shelter I'm donating to. With your purchase you'll be sent this item, which you can use to upload your kitty in a box:

If you have a shelter in your town, consider stopping by and giving them a donation - money, pet food, anything you can afford. Right now, they really need it.
Please don't donate to the huge national organizations like Humane Society (do some research on them). They don't help your local shelter.

I know you're all very anxious for the premium monthly item; we hit a bit of a coding problem and are reworking the idea, so I will make an announcement as soon as it's ready. I don't want to just throw a monthly essence or something in there, I really want to keep making unique premium-only items, so I appreciate your patience through this hangup. You will be pleased to know that after we get this rolling, we'll be looking at more things for premium in general, including adding some goodies to the premium outlet! :3

New breeding position + artists!
Site Update
Hey all, I come this time hopefully bringing news that isn't as sad as my last news about LBPs.
We have opened up a new position on staff for Breeding Fixes. You can find the application here for further information. Currently we're looking for one dedicated mistake mod, maybe two, but for now expect that we'll be choosing at least one dedicated fix person.
Mauri and I have also wrangled a few mods to help with the Predicts queue, so we plan to train them asap and see how they work out in making the queue run a little faster. I know there have been some complaints about predicts being pretty slow, so expanding the staff is one step to making that better!
I've been shuffling through looking at the apps from the past month as well for artist, but this is just another tiny reminder that we do need more applicants for Holiday, BC, and EBC coins. LBC is of course still open as well, and I think we could use a few more MBC folks, so I'll see if there's anyone else available for those. If interested see all the apps under Breeding Chat for further information. Note that we currently have enough Derp & RBC artists to handle the queue.
Yeah, I know, I promote needing staff often, but this is for the good of the site, right? :] Getting those offspring out in a timely manner is what we do on the breeding end! I like getting new talent and we hire pretty much all the time.
NEW EDIT: I talked to Slash who said that we can't offer huge contracts right now, but we can open up a few mini-contracts. It would be $50/week for 10 pairs, with the difference made up in GP. If you stay on for 3 months on this pay, we'll consider you eligible for potential higher pay. If this interests anyone please apply with the above information. These are only for Breeding Artist positions, not the Mistake Mod.
