The illustrious Slashbot! You primarily know it as a laser-shooting bot version of Slash and probably associate it with the slew of fun events and themed days that have been created with its magic. It's time for the 'bot to have a bit of a tune-up so we can continue to enjoy its power!
Slashbots are one of the most powerful items in the game, if not the ultimate item. Why? Because a Slashbot is the epitome of creativity and customization; you can do anything you want with it as long as it's a reasonable request and benefits everyone. While events and themed days are very entertaining and rewarding, the bots can be used for more than that, so don't feel like you have to host an event! If you want to design a new feature, create a new item, or even make a new shop, the Slashbot is your ticket to do so. :3 Your imagination is the limit, so put it to the test! I don't know of any other site that offers an item like this, so if you are fortunate enough to get a slot, make sure you give a lot of thought to what you want!
This brings me to my next point, which is a change to what we've been used to seeing.
Slashbots were never intended to become a way to found a silver species, and that's what they've sort of snowballed into. Before, you could essentially found a silver species and immediately have a large breeding pool without having to pay for the founders or the art on top of the event/day/etc. Though the community always enjoys the SCCs, this is primarily benefiting the holder of the Slashbot, when the focus should be on the community as a whole.
Now, in order to distribute a SCC base for the community to enjoy, two breedable founders will need to exist first. We will still be happy to pay for the artwork (and we're opening this up to all official SCC artists) if you do not want to provide it yourself, but we do ask that you pay for/obtain the two SCCs/founders needed. So, you can still offer to distribute your SCC base as part of your Slashbot use along with whatever else you have planned for it, but the Slashbot will no longer double as 2 SCCs + itself--it's solely a Slashbot.
If you have already discussed your Slashbot plans with me, the above does not apply. Otherwise, the changes are in effect. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me!
I hope you understand why we made the change that we did and I look forward to seeing what you do with your Slashbots in the future!

Adventure Pets! Explore Pets! More more more Pets!

I believe I made it so that all of these pets are catchable via Adventure!
If not, blame Eri sorry. :C
Either way, these pretties are waiting to be caught!
Next week's bonus explore pets are the Maki, Oske, and Chromo!
If you color one of the above species and have it accepted, you'll receive 10 GP per coloration accepted instead of the normal 3GP!

Tink Tap Bunk Clunk! I hear a bunch of noise coming from the Little Pet Shop of Horrors ! Their construction is underway so be sure to get any of the current pets located in that shop, as they will be leaving come July!

Exotic Seasonal Shop!

The Seasonal Shop is now open!
Let's take a look at the goodies!
We have an adorable set of fauna for you and your pets to enjoy. :3
They might like the edible Chinchilla Cookies, too!

This potion probably looks familiar to you already, but it's there if you want extras or aren't coming across many in the forest.
And for our more fashionable members, there's quite a few items in a falcon-based clothing set, which also includes three "wearable" exotic animals. Here's your preview:
Last but not least, the coveted Genet Potion!
The Genet Potion will be usable through June 16th at 11:59 PM, after which it will become a useless collectable. However, you will still be able to create a Genet SCC via Silver Potion with Eli (#463)'s permission!
Exotic Kibble and the Exotic Potion will be in the Enchanted Forest through June 13th at 11:59 PM.
The Seasonal Shop will remain open through June 14th at 11:59 PM, so you have plenty of time to get all the goodies you want. :) The pets will also leave when the shop closes.

Scavenger Hunt
New Game
Ready for SCAVENGER HUNT?
What is Scavenger Hunt?
It is a massive, multi-player cooperative game where you join in teams of ten members and undertake a list of various tasks. The teams who earn the most points win a myriad of fabulous prizes.
When is Scavenger Hunt?
July 13 - July 20 2012. Plan ahead!
What kind of prizes are there?
It varies per year, but they involve customs from rare species (including the Scav-only Flux), powerful and rare items, Gold Paws, Silver Paws, and even real life prizes like game systems, Amazon Gift Cards, and cash money.
How many tasks are there?
There are 150 tasks on the list.
What kind of tasks are on the list?
Scavenger Hunt generally contains artwork tasks, writing tasks, on-site tasks (like certain high scores or collections), real life crafts tasks, and photography in different places, amid other things.
Has anything changed from last year?
Only certain questions will be eligible for partial points this year. If a question doesn't specify whether partial points are available ("(PP)" after the question), it must be done fully and completely to the description of the question.
Submissions to the grading system will not be changed by an admin, and cannot be submitted to an admin through PM or any other system for correction, if errors are made after the deadline - be sure to get your submissions into the feature in time beforehand so you can check it properly. This includes mis-typed links and bad HTML coding.
Start planning your team and discussing Scavenge Hunt in the Scavenger Hunt Chat. The official feature will be open on July 1 so you can start organizing your team within it.

Exotic Pets!

While you're on the kibble trail, you might run into some new, strange and wonderful pets in the Enchanted Forest! 20 exotic pets have been added, but they'll only be appearing in the forest for a short time, so grab them before the 14th!
Pets for the potion and adventure were chosen by Eli! :)
If you colored a pet (or multiple pets) that you see appearing in one of those two features, please contact Visark (#185) for payment.
I saw a ton of designs that I loved, so if yours did not get accepted, please consider submitting it to the appropriate thread in Pet Coloration Submissions.
With the introduction of these pets to adventure, I leave you with a note from Eli:
Although everyone loves how cute, and exotic looking these pets are, it should still be kept in mind that these pets aren't easy to take care of. Most of them still have their wild traits in them and can be dangerous. Some people take that danger, and still take care of these cute animals. If you ever decide to get one, please be sure to do plenty of research on it!

Exotic Pet Day!

June 7th and beyond!
Brought to you by Eli (#463) and a Slashbot in honor of a birthday and beautiful animals.
We've been finding trails of this strange food appearing in the Enchanted Forest...
Exotic Kibble is a r30 item that you'll want to start collecting since it will be used in the Seasonal Shop to obtain some neat things!
The Exotic Potion has been located in hidden pockets amongst the flowers in the Enchanted Forest too.
This is a r70 item that will turn your active pet into one of 8 special hybrid/rare colorations! It will also be available in the Shop when it opens. :) Here are just a few of the pets you can obtain with it:
This cute potion is--you guessed it--a pet custom item! If you are fortunate enough to collect enough Exotic Kibble to exchange for one of these, you will be able to upload your very own Genet SCC!

We are going to see how the kibble collecting goes before pricing things in the seasonal shop, but we plan on making the kibble findable through the 13th with the shop open for an extra day after. :) There are a lot of other cool things to be unveiled, but for now enjoy your food hunting!

New Museum Collections

If you complete the Enchanted Forest collection, you will receive a Book of Flowers.
This is a breeding add-on that you can use in BC or HBC breedings and will tell the artist to give the offspring flower/vine edits!
If you complete the Wasteland collection, you will receive an Ash Wardrobe, which opens into fifteen wearable pieces that will have you set for extreme temperatures in an apocalyptic setting!
