Exotic Reminders!
Site Update
Don't forget to grab any last-minute kibble or potions from the Enchanted Forest today.
Both will be leaving some time after 11:59 PM tonight!
The Seasonal Shop will have its doors open through June 14th at 11:59 PM, at which time the pets will also leave the Enchanted Forest. The Genet Potion will be usable through June 16th at 11:59 PM.
As an FYI, Yasu might be disabling our lairs later today for a short time (about an hour) to do some maintenance. :3
(If you saw the Adoption Center down a little while ago, that was his doing as well, but it's back up. n_n)

Recent heavy patches of lag
Site Update
Since the server transfer, there has been a consistence lag problem that has been occurring on the new server. We are aware of this problem and are actively working on it.
There may be some times when you will hit sudden heavy lag or even the site will go down. Usually, this is our doing as we are usually working on something on the backend of the site. We've recently obtained a new toy that's pin pointing what scripts are causing problems and how they are causing it, so we have been hard at work fixing 'em.
If you suddenly hit a bad patch of lag, or if the site even goes down for you, madly refreshing the page will not bring it back up. Again, generally when this occurs, it's us doing something and not just some random patch of lag on the site. Just wait it out a few minutes and give it another try.

Revamp Kings is a game where five "contestant" pets are chosen from the applications page. The users are then encouraged to revamp the designs (redraw them to look better, in other words) for prizes.
The best revamp, as chosen by the owner of the pet contestant, will win the prize for each pet.

The Official Silver Artists page is now complete!
This new and improved version tells you exactly how to go about commissioning a site silver artist, includes a FAQ, and has easier navigation with direct artist profile links!
Please note that this is not a comprehensive guide to Silver Custom Crystals or silver commissions but only covers a commission from one of the site's official artists. If you have a question that's not on the page or want clarification on something, feel free to PM me!
Any time we add a new artist to the page, we'll make an announcement. :)
I also have an announcement for those of you who got a slot from Kuitsuku ages and ages ago!
If you did not already switch artists and your commission from Kuitsuku is still waiting to be completed, please PM me with the number Slash gave you (and a brief description of what your request was for). We'll see to it that these get finished, though she is not taking any new slots at this time.

Slashbots on the loose!

The illustrious Slashbot! You primarily know it as a laser-shooting bot version of Slash and probably associate it with the slew of fun events and themed days that have been created with its magic. It's time for the 'bot to have a bit of a tune-up so we can continue to enjoy its power!
Slashbots are one of the most powerful items in the game, if not the ultimate item. Why? Because a Slashbot is the epitome of creativity and customization; you can do anything you want with it as long as it's a reasonable request and benefits everyone. While events and themed days are very entertaining and rewarding, the bots can be used for more than that, so don't feel like you have to host an event! If you want to design a new feature, create a new item, or even make a new shop, the Slashbot is your ticket to do so. :3 Your imagination is the limit, so put it to the test! I don't know of any other site that offers an item like this, so if you are fortunate enough to get a slot, make sure you give a lot of thought to what you want!
This brings me to my next point, which is a change to what we've been used to seeing.
Slashbots were never intended to become a way to found a silver species, and that's what they've sort of snowballed into. Before, you could essentially found a silver species and immediately have a large breeding pool without having to pay for the founders or the art on top of the event/day/etc. Though the community always enjoys the SCCs, this is primarily benefiting the holder of the Slashbot, when the focus should be on the community as a whole.
Now, in order to distribute a SCC base for the community to enjoy, two breedable founders will need to exist first. We will still be happy to pay for the artwork (and we're opening this up to all official SCC artists) if you do not want to provide it yourself, but we do ask that you pay for/obtain the two SCCs/founders needed. So, you can still offer to distribute your SCC base as part of your Slashbot use along with whatever else you have planned for it, but the Slashbot will no longer double as 2 SCCs + itself--it's solely a Slashbot.
If you have already discussed your Slashbot plans with me, the above does not apply. Otherwise, the changes are in effect. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me!
I hope you understand why we made the change that we did and I look forward to seeing what you do with your Slashbots in the future!
