Am I late to the party yet, guys? I wanted to have some fun in the 50k user event celebration as well! But why not do everyone's favorite breeding game in that case? This is a big milestone after all, and everyone loves some gorgeous, stunning, beautiful babies, right?
...
Nah, that's just boring.
So let's see what you users out there can come up with for the most terrifyingly ugly pairs ever! Got a pair that you think is an LBC artist's worst nightmare? Think you can make a BC artist run and hide at the very thought of editing a hybrid with your pets? Will my MBC artists spontaneously combust with your heavily-marking'd mess? Then I think this event is for you!
You can find the rules in each thread below for posting your pairs. The event ends at 11:59 PM on June 5th, and each category results in 5 winners.

Rainbow Sky: Candy Shop Edition

The Candy Shop is now open for business!
-- and it's ready to gobble up all of the Heart Rock Candy you found in Rainbow Sky!
Let's go on a stroll and explore the goodies, shall we? :3
First up, we have some mementos from Rainbow Sky itself!
The delicious monsters have been transformed into bite-size fauna for you and your pets to enjoy.
(Though if your pet has a sweet tooth, I recommend only attaching one of these fauna with close supervision.)
We are also offering a Rainbow Sky Theme and a Rainbow Sky Wallpaper. The theme unlocks the Adventure background on your account permanently, and the Wallpaper is a wearable for your HA. Now you never have to leave the bright and cheery fantasy land!
This is A Cutie Pie--and it looks like you're making it blush!
Use this item to unlock a colorful "Cutiepie" forum title (psst, take a look at any of my posts to see what it looks like).
For potion and pet fanatics, we have some adorably powerful magic items that will do cute things to your active pet!
The Regular Capsule will turn your active pet into a random coloration from the Rainbow Sky area. If you weren't able to snag all the pets you wanted before the region closed, this might be a lucky item for you!
The bright, beaming Super Happy Fun Capsule will turn your active pet into a random pet from the Seasonal Shop. There are 25 Candy Shop pets to collect, so if you can't afford to buy all of the pets individually, or if you just enjoy a good gamble, I'd recommend this one. c:

Finally, we have the Jar of Stars...
... which will turn your active pet into one of 10 hybrids exclusive to the bottle. Hint: If you'd like to see which 10 they are, go to the Aywapedia, sort by Newest, and look for the 10 that have a "season" of starjar13.

What the Candy Shop really has oodles and oodles of, however, is Human Avatar clothing!
There are quite a few wearables in the shop, so I'll show you our "wardrobes" first. :3
A Pack of Mischief Markers opens up into 9 colorful body doodles, the Neon Skirt Stack opens into 6 bright tutus, the Emote Expression Bundle gives you 6 silly emoticon faces, and the Dolled Up Dresser opens into 7 "dolled up" items (1 lipstick, 3 eyes, and 3 wigs).
We also have several sets that you can buy individual pieces from to mix and match!
The Naptime set has 10 pieces--including pajamas, holdables, and background elements.
The titular Cute set has 5 pieces--all well-tailored wearables.
If you enjoy long walks in the sky, then you might like the Cloudy set! (Doesn't even feel like you're wearing anything.)
For more formal affairs, we have a 6-piece Neko-chan set!

PBC User Event

But wait, the 50k user celebrations aren't over yet!
In honour of the site reaching the 50k milestone, rage and I are here to present some PBC related events for users to take part in!
Below this you will find five different themes which will link you to their respective threads. Each of the threads has a mystery PBC artist assigned to it, awaiting a winner to be picked so they can start creating the PBC offspring.
Ocean

Mechanical
Bioluminescence (glow)
Nature
It's a pretty simple game - submit a pairing of your choice based on the theme and stand to win a PBC breeding between your submitted pets! It’s one pair per account in each thread and the winner will be picked via random generator.
The PBC breeding will come with a life seed and speedy breeding ticket automatically attached, so you're guaranteed to receive your offspring quickly! There will also be small spot prizes in the form of platinum pebbles given out to random users throughout each thread.
This event ends at 11:59 PM June 3rd so that should be plenty of time for you guys to find a pair and submit it to the thread. :)
edit: If messages could either be directed to us in pms or in the news comments, that would be great! We're aiming to keep the actual event threads as focused as possible. :)

Changing Skies

It seems there's a change in weather coming our way.
The bright and cheery Rainbow Sky will be leaving after 11:59 p.m. tonight (we gave you guys an extra day due to the site's shenanigans earlier this week).
The Candy Shop will (hopefully) be opening late tomorrow night, so don't eat all your sweets just yet!

Prizebox Field
Site Update
The Prizebox Field has been open for five days, which we feel has given everyone a chance to grab at least two or three boxes. However, only about 1/5th of the prizes are gone! So many are left!
Starting midnight tomorrow, the prizebox field's timer will be decreased from twelve hours to thirty minutes as we wrap up this event and clear out the prizes.
Look forward to it!
