Ghoulish Gala Begins
Events
The Premium Item is now available to be claimed! Once you use it, it'll be gone, but it will be with you in spirit (spooky!) as its effect will last through the entire month.
The Ghoulish Gala festivities are now underway! While you will be able to access the Ghoulish Gala Hub to quickly navigate through the various activities, below will be a quick explanation of each for those who have forgotten or are new!
Starting tomorrow, October 4th, you will be able to collect one festive item per day from the Advent Calendar! Will it be a yummy treat or something spooky? Check in every day to find out!
Another activity that is now live is Trick or Treating! Here's a quick refresher on how it works!
Sending Requests
You can visit the Trick or Treating page to start. Listed there are currently online Aywans interested in accepting Trick or Treat requests. Just click on the "Trick or Treat" button below their name to send the request. You can send requests to an Aywan every 30 minutes. This page will update itself when an Aywan's online status changes.
Processing Requests
On the side menu of the site, there's a Trick or Treat status box. As you receive requests, your visitor count will change. You can click this number (or go to My Visitors) to view your requests. From there, you'll have the option to trick or treat your visitor.
Treating visitors will cost 1,000 BP each at minimum. Tricking visitors is free!You have 15 minutes to respond to a Trick or Treat request before it expires.
If trick or treating your fellow Aywans isn't for you, don't forget that you can always Trick or Treat the NPCs instead! Swing by the Site Characters page and trick or treat them when they are available.
Located on the Trick or Treat status box is a Karma Meter. As you send trick or treat requests or trick visitors, you will incur negative (orange) karma. Vise-versa, treating users will give you positive (blue) karma. Both karma levels have their benefits and risks, so experiment around!
You can now collect herbs from the Greenhouse to use in the Giant Cauldron, which will begin boiling later on in the month, and Rowan's Potion Brewing, but be wary of what you grab - Minerva is watching!
The Pumpkin Patch is now open as well! Remember, any and all messages left in pumpkins must follow the Terms of Service. Additionally, the pumpkins cannot be tagged as [M]ature, so do not put anything that may need this tag into the pumpkins. If you pick up a pumpkin that violates either of these rules, please PM a staff member. Be kind, and have fun!
The Spooky Forest is now open! As you adventure through it, you will be able to pick up Bootato, which will be a currency for the Seasonal Shop along with your Candy. You can also find any pets that you may have missed out on from previous years, and more pets will be added later on in the month!

Beginning this month, the RCC pets will now rotate! This means that some of the older designs that were only able to be made with a Rock Crystal Wand will now be able to be made with Rock Custom Crystals during their rotation time!
The Welly is currently the active Raw genus, which means that you can purchase the Space Hearts Welly in the BP Shop! It will remain the active genus until November, so be sure to make a note of this in case you wish to make any!

Fauna Frenzy v2.0.3
Site Update
Escaped from Kaiyo's basement to bring everyone some more updates for Fauna Frenzy.
Treacherous Triangle - Bridge
A new realm has been added, bringing Ay's Bridge into the Frenzy. The Bridge starts off easy, but as you further progress expect the difficulty to ramp up. Those who beat the levels in Bitter Barrens won't see much challenge from the bridge until the later levels, but with more stars to collect, I'm sure you'll all be kept busy (and frustrated) trying to get them all!
Regardless of your fauna's levels, The Bridge is the perfect stage to get some practice in with the game mechanics before we release more difficult levels.
Rune Components
Despite our warnings not to enter the Frenzy until we learn more about it, Querel has been found tinkering with the runes and made an interesting discovery: The runes can be made to have other uses! Querel won't tell me what those uses are yet, but he has created a device to auto harvest runes after a battle. I went ahead and installed the device as to his specification, but I'm still not entirely sure how exactly it works or where the runes go once harvested.
Just know that any runes left over after a battle will be added to your Frenzy inventory. I'll continue to pester Querel and as soon as I get answers, I'll be sure to share it with everyone.
Misc
While the game itself has received a few updates, most of work was put into creating tools that staff can use to create realms and levels with ease. We're hoping with these tools we better balance the game. With these tools though, we need data. Whenever you play any level in Fauna Frenzy, started logging the results of those battles so that we can figure out what levels players are having problems with and help us pin point what we can do to make the level balance if deemed not balanced.
What does this mean for you? As you play levels, you'll help us figure out if things are going the way we want or not. With each future update, we'll use that information to balance existing levels and determine how to set up new levels for other realms.
About Future Updates
We were planning to release fusioning next month, but will be delaying that until later this year. Because of the site's hibernation status, we must focus our time on getting a few other things done before we are able to pump more content (we have two more realms planned each with three stages, a store for purchasing XP tokens and components, and an arena mode). Once I catch up with my chores, I'll be sure to add an explosion of content to this, but until then I ask everyone be patience. I already juggle so much that I'm not making much progress on anything, so now I want to take a break and focus on the recode.
And on cue, I can hear Kaiyo's footsteps. Back to the basement for me :(

Lunar Meteor Shop & More
Events
The Seasonal Shop is now open! There is a handful of pets and items for you to collect, as well as clothing! For those of you who may have missed it before or still need the previous pets from it, the Pouch of Stardust is being stocked as well. The Seasonal Shop will be open until 11:59 PM AST on September 4th, so be sure to make any purchases before then.
Additionally, Museum Collection is up and ready for you to turn items in to! For those of you who weren't here last year, you can find the needed items while adventuring in the Lunar Meteor. When you have one of items, you can go to your inventory, click on the item, and hit "Move to Collections" from the menu. The prize for completing the collection is once again 1 SP and the Star Ticket, which can be used in the following raffles:
The Glittering Potion can change your pet into your choice of any site pet, and it has three charges! The Metallic Starlight Bottle allows you to create a metal Lunaris custom! The Jar of Sparkles has four charges and will turn your pet into a Lunaris from Lunaris Day 2012! The Bottle of Vampire Glitter allows you to create an up to 50% edited, sparkledog-esque custom of an Uncommon or Token species! Last, but certainly not least, the Wish Upon a Star threads are here to potentially grant your pet and/or item desires! Be sure to read the rules entirely before posting, and good luck! You can find both of the threads in the Events forum. You will have until 11:59 PM AST on August 31st to make your wishes!
