Happy New Years everyone! I know that you were waiting for the monthly but unfortunately it will be delayed :( Our Shops are having trouble and for some reason adding an item has a chance to make a totally unrelated item say it costs 0 bp/gp, however it still charges you the proper amount. This item then becomes completely uneditable, and due to the holiday we haven't had proper time to fix this.
Of course this is also effecting the HA Contest, as many may have seen the items are already created but until we get the go ahead we don't want to risk poking the shop.
I know, many of you are probably asking why don't I just swap around the release days? Well I was originally going to do that, but that would make the Jeweled Custom Makers have 1 less day for their submission and I won't do that to those trying to finish last minute submissions.
I do however have the newest Rock Custom Crystal for you!
This whale is happy to swim into the new year with you!
We also have a fun new update about the Genetics Kit and Hybrid Genetics Kit! Now when you use a Genetics Kit you may request which lines you use as long as the lines do not have a dedicated custom maker, so this includes many common alts and all old lines. However, this is up to Artist's Discretion. The artist is not required to use your request and may proceed with the normal lines if they desire.
We also would like to take this chance to remind everyone that artist breedings are not commissions! We have received an influx of very detailed prompts on breedings, with and without addons which allow prompts, that include requests such as color placements and edit uses. Artists do not have to follow these, and we encourage them to only do what they are comfortable with in these situations! So please be aware of this rule, and that artist's can ignore these if they desire and it will not be counted as a breeding mistake.

This is a reminder that the USD SCC makers are supposed to be retired tomorrow! Since I forgot to announce this sooner we will let them stay in until the 2nd, so if you were planning on buying one make sure you grab it now! If you wanna see the bases check out this post towards the bottom.
That being said, if you are interested in submitting a USD SCC come over to this thread and get some last minute submissions in!
It was also brought up to me that in previous years Eggnogs were allowed to add a note for either 3 Hybrids you want, or 3 Hybrids you do not want. This is still allowed! Just please make sure to specify which one it is.
For the holidays we also have a... special Advent Item for tomorrow! What better way to start the new year?

After taking a firm lead and holding onto it tightly, the Island Tashian by Linchan (#57480) has become our first official site Tashian! You can now find this cutie in the BP Shop, in stock for 300,000 BP.
Don't forget, the remaining five Tashian will be raffled off in the future, so be sure to keep up to date on the news posts if you are pining for one or more of those designs! With the conclusion of the Color-a-Tashian contest, the Tashian Submissions thread is now open in the Pet Coloration Submissions forum.
As a reminder, the Tashian will remain as the current Raw pet until March 15th, 2017 at 11:59 PM AST, so be sure to keep that in mind if you plan on creating any!

Aymas Trees~

Good evening everyone! We have had several questions asking Where is the Tree contest?! well as the last news post stated it wasn't open yet, we wanted to give plenty of time for users to play around and get used to the tree and try to work out what kinks we could to ensure everyone could access it!
However, we have now opened submissions!
Please be advised that once you enter the contest any changes you do to your tree will NOT be updated in the contest and you cannot withdraw to reenter, so perfect your tree before you enter! You can find the link on the bottom of your Tree Viewing Link once you get your tree all perfect.
Prizes
1st place: Choice of a Scaled Seedling or Vion Planter
2nd place: Bottled Starlight
3rd place: Platinum Breeding Coin
Voting will start on Monday January 2nd at 11:59pm AST and we will go into more details about how the voting will work and what it could mean for future contests (lookin at you HA contest) closer to that date! We are delaying the voting from submissions as once voting starts, you won't be able to submit anymore trees.
This brings me to my next point of interest: Bingo. Some of the bingo tasks are being uncooperative on certain accounts so we are doing some changes.
"Put a decoration on your tree" - This is being changed to "Vote in the Aymas Tree Contest". If you already have the box marked, do not fear it will not reset for you!
"Enter your Aymas tree into the Tree Contest" - This one is going to just be auto unlocked for everyone, congratulations you get two free spaces!
Speaking of Bingo, you may wish to hurry and participate in Saving Aymas Chapter 1 if you haven't already! I think that Aketch might be weakening!
I've also had a few questions about Seasonal Shop, that will be coming next week, just wrapping up a few items!

Pet Shop Warning

Hello everyone! I wanted to give you a bit of a heads up that I'll be changing the stock in my shop come January 4th! So if you want to own any of these pretty pets I currently am selling, you should buy them before January 4th. On January 4th they will be permanently retired and new pets will take their place!

It was a tough decision, but here are the top six designs from the Color-a-Tashian contest! Vote carefully, as the one with the most votes will become the site's first official coloration! The remaining five will be raffled off at a later date, so you will have an opportunity to try and win your favorite design should it not win. I can't wait to see which one scuttles into victory!
