Sorry about that, there's only so much we can do when someone is really intent on messing with aywas - to react appropriately and try to prepare, but alas we are not psychic and can't anticipate what someone will try to do, or how skilled they are. Nonetheless, we've restored everything we could (only items were affected).
It's annoying, but it's part of having a site. There are always people trying to tear down what you create. All we can do is rebuild and try to come back stronger than ever. And that's what we're going to do - focus on the future.
If you are missing anything IMPORTANT (say 10+ GP value) let us know. Post what you lost here in the news comments. AGAIN, important things only. We are doing this as a favor - by giving you back your favorite items manually, one by one. Please don't abuse that by trying to give us a huge list because we will not do it.
Regenerating items you owned on Saturday and before are still in your inventory. Please don't ask about them unless you bought the item on Sunday or later.
If you have a duplicate item(s), discard it.

updated through Cheshire page 64 I AM NOT GIVING ALL ITEMS BACK, THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE, if you have a regenerating item and you owned it on Saturday or before, you still own it. ONLY ASK ME ABOUT REGENERATING ITEMS IF YOU BOUGHT IT AFTER SATURDAY!

Yeah I am wondering the same thing as Nui, we got at least like 10,000 items back that we trashed...is there any way to not have to discard them 1 item at a time?

I've lost a special delivery egg, a Psychedelic Egg, a Speckled Easter Egg, the items in this image, I had Aywas open on a tab showing the newest items at a point before I hibernated my computer. https://i52.tinypic.com/xq04y9.png Obviously some not as good as others, but I'd love to get the Random Gael Potion, friendship bracelets and gold seeds, that some people were kind enough to put into the easter eggs. And I'd also like to be able to have yesterdays advent gift that I've now lost to.
I know there's other stuff missing, but, I don't know what, and couldn't prove it anyway. But at the very least, I'd like my speckled egg back, as that's the most valuable of all the missing things, I got that from my egg basket.
