Do you like making customs and custom designs? Make sure you're doing it legally.
Brushes/patterns from the internet CANNOT BE USED on an aywas image unless:
- it requires no credit
- it is allowed for commercial purposes
- you list EVERY BRUSH you use under the design in a "brushes/images used" section of your pet's profile, along with a link to the rules of the brush, and keep record of that on your pet forever
Google images or patterns you get off the internet CANNOT BE USED on an aywas image unless:
- it requires no credit
- it is allowed for commercial purposes
- you list EVERY IMAGE you use under the design in a "brushes/images used" section of your pet's profile, along with a link to the rules of the image, and keep record of that on your pet forever
Using images that do not belong to you and you do not have permission to use is THEFT and ILLEGAL. If you do it, we will ban you. So don't do it.
When in doubt, message a moderator with a link to your image/pattern/brush's rules and they will let you know if you can use it.
Suspicious that someone might be using an image without permission? Contact a moderator with a link to the thread.
If a moderator approaches you asking for information about your images, you are required to yield where you got the images from. If you made the image yourself, you are required to show progress layers that prove you are the original artist of the image. Be sure to keep them so you don't have any problems.
Aywas takes art theft very seriously, as we are an art community. We are cracking down on it, and there will be no hand-slapping for thieves.

I usually make my own customs. But the brushes I do use are free and the creater lets us use them. :) I don't use brushes all the time though.
And thanks for the update by the way!

A good policy to have ~_^ A few questions though, just to make sure that I understand everything (I can be dense lol):
1.) Do we have to have progress layers for each actual coloration that we make, or only if we draw an image and then paste it onto the pet, or...what? I have some simple designs that I was going to sell, but since I made them when I first started coloring, I don't really have progress layers (I've never saved progress layers in the past, I assume it's just saving an image of the pet halfway through)...are those safe to sell & create?
2.) When you say "Google Images" slash, are you referring to actual photographic images that can be copied onto a pet? Or to textures and brushes found through a Google Image search?
3.) Are we supposed to list every individual brush & texture if we've only used the ones that came with our program, or can we say "basic GIMP brushes", etc?
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post =/ I was going to send it as a message, but I figured that other members might have the same questions and might appreciate an answer on here ^_^ Thank you!! <3 <3
