I'd say we could use some sort of bear-like genus. Also maybe a rabbit, boar/pig, some sort of flightless bird, and perhaps some sort of canine specific genus.

I like the edits to the front feet, but I think the old tail was better. :(
And the frogs? I like the first.
As for a new pet-shape. We need a mouse/rat! And for the pet's "special theme" like all the other pets have.. It should be FOOD! Cheese, kiwi, cookies, all the wonders of the world! :D

better on the ferret, but the face still needs to be more cone like, or at least narrow the muzzle down to make it less feline.

I like the bottom froggy best. Looks cuter. Ferret's still not overly ferrety; still has a rather feline face[mainly the pointy ears and short snout], though the head shape is better, and now it has more felinesque paws, but those could easily be edited on a custom, but still lots better. The pose is definitely less feline with it rearing up like that, and I like the tail fix.
As for basic shapes. I'd like to see a syngnathid [a seahorse/sea dragon/pipefish, an actual fishy one, not like the Sors.]
Still want that shark pet too. Don't know why everyone hated it for not being cute enough... not all the pets have to be cute!.
Also a flightless bird. We have birds, but no real stocky ratite based ones! We need an emu/ostrich or maybe even a cassowary-based birdy! Or a kiwi, that would be adorable.
More birds in general, at that, we only have a vaguely small parrot like bird and a phoenix. Where are the raptors[hawks or eagles would be awesome], owls[good for a spooky halloween pet, or even a cute one if based on a small owl like burrowing owls], the seabirds[GULLS, and albatross, that kind of thing], the corvid[ravens would be cool!], and the gamefowl[chickens, quail, pheasants and such!] and waterfowl[ducky pets would be cute!]?
Also dinosaurs. lots of variation to work with there. We have some vaguely raptorid-like pets but there's more than just theropods. Ceratopsids, ankylosaurs, sauropods, stegosaurids, hadrosaurs.
I like the coming of an elasmosaur-like pet. Not a dino, but close enough.Maybe some flying reptiles too, pterosaurs are awesome!

hmmm perhaps another kind of bird like an Eagle or something. ORRR. AN EEL. Or...a shark or whale. :D
