If this is an intended joke, its a bad one and I would play it off as a hack after seeing the mass user responses. X-D The reason besides giving people a fright is it deters people from donating to the site as it serves to remind how transient everything here is. (As apples pointed out) Aywas could easily be gone in a day, thus something a user may have spent years and hundreds of dollars - gone in thin air.

It's starting to smell of hack, guys. Another pet site was hacked recently too, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was just troll season.

You know, when this ends up being something serious or a hacking, those of you who are bashing Slash are going to feel really bad.

To those of you who have recently started on Aywas: This is a fantastic, wonderful site. Since I've been a member, this is the only fishy thing that's ever come up.

"Hack" was my first thought.

But sites recover from hacks, remember.

Subeta was hacked several years ago, and it is still going strong. Just hold onto the idea that we, as a community, CAN get through this. Don't call it quits just yet.
