If this isn't a joke, you guys are being awfully cruel to Slash. If she HAD to close the site, for legal reasons, seems pretty mean to trash her over it.

I'm going to sit with the people assuming it's an early April Fool's joke, which, if it IS, is certainly better than the alternatives. It's a sh*tty joke, though. Way to give lots of people heart attacks and terrible depression, Slash.
Anyone still panicking: Any decent site owner would give more than 24 hours notice for the site closing. There's no reason NOT TO, unless you're being held at gunpoint and will be shot if the site isn't completely down within that time period.

Slash, kidding or not, this is cruel. I know some people that know this as their only home because they've been run out of other sites, and this is the only place they feel accepted. THEY DO NOT WANT FELISFIRE. THEY. WANT. AYWAS.
I feel it's aweful of you to not give an explanation. Half of these commenters would probably be less pissed off and more understanding if you gave them a reason as to why the site was closing...and a good reason, mind. The real reason. Not something pulled out of hammerspace to please the masses. We the players have supported this site. We deserve one.
You and the site artists put a ton of work into the site, and many of the Aywas players have put money into this site. It would be a huge waste of both time and money to work on something that elaborate only to close it down with no warning or explanation.

If we found out this is a joke later I would be too relieved to have Aywas back to be upset. But this does not feel like a prank... I'm not 100% sure if it is real, or at least I hope it is not... but, if the ship goes down -for whatever reason- we can all see how much we actually appreciated this page and how much it meant to us. I will keep checking back to see if Aywas somehow pulls out of this...

First it is everything but funny
Second I'm cutting my brother heads down for laughing at me right now
There must be a logical explanation for all this and even if it,s only a bad joke, we have the right to be pissed about all of this
