Australian Floods

Pets

Hey there!

So as some of you know, and many of you probably don’t, Australia is going through some pretty rough times right now, specifically in the state of Queensland. Floods and inland tsunamis have been ripping through over the past couple of weeks, destroying homes and businesses, with the death toll currently at 22 with many more people missing. This doesn’t just affect Australia, but also a lot of other countries as Queensland is one of the major providers of wheat and coal for the world, and with the wheat crops ruined, and mines unable to function, many countries will be set back. You can read more information about the floods here and here

Due to the devastating events happening in Australia, we’re running a donation drive.

If you donate towards a floods charity, such as the Queensland Flood Relief Appeal or RSPCA QLD (because the pets there are suffering too) and show me the receipt as proof of donation by sending it to [email protected], each dollar you donate is worth one credit toward getting special donation pets. If you have another donation site/payment method in mind and are unsure, you’re welcome to send me a message to check. The donation pets, with thanks to Kassa (#1288) for designing them:

Floods Ippo 5 Credits | Floods Lunaris 10 Credits | Floods Vion : 15 Credits

In addition, the person with the highest ‘credit’ amount at the end of this week will win either a custom Vion or Lunaris (whichever they would prefer) with up to 50% edits. If there are two people with the same credit amount at the end, I’ll take it to random.org. The current highest amount will be recorded on my profile and updated at the end of each day (and within the last hours on the last day) for those that are interested.

If you have any questions, drop me a line. :)

edit: Also, the Ippo is really pretty on a black background. ;D

edit2: Working on fixing the links Links fixed - also, if you could include your Aywas name + ID in the email, that would be great. I'm sadly not a great detective. >_> If you've already sent me one without those two things, just send me a message and I'll send you your pets. :)

I was not aware of the flooding - you guys are awesome for running donations like this. The pets are gorgeous, too. - Pin

This is a wonderful idea and I'm really glad aywas is doing it's bit to help the flood victims. I live in Australia, down in NSW though, and there are constant reminds of just how devasting the floods are even though they haven't hit us so I can't even begin to imagine what it feels like for the people in Queensland. ~Lucy

How long do we have to claim these pets? =/ Our credit card was stolen yesterday, and I don't know how long it will be before the replacement card comes in.

You can donate for these pets at any point in time, but the custom slot is only for a week. And trying to fix the link, I'm a tad hopeless. >_>

The links are glitched. But anyhow...if I get 15 total credits, can I get all 3, or must I only choose those that, when combined, equal that amount?
