As there's a new limited pet coming on the 15th, this item is the monthly premium item. Make yourself a metal custom of the new pet (which you should recognize)!

Breeding
It's the first quarter of 2011! That means Breeding Coins are in the GP Shop for 75 GP for one week.
BC Candy is in the GP Shop for 15 GP as well. BC Candy has its predicts thread here where you can submit your predicts. Check out the instructions on it.
If you are wondering, you can use it for Breeding Coin and Holiday Breeding Coin breedings that have not been assigned yet.
Hybrids
With every new quarter comes four new hybrids! The default colors are in the SP Shop for 3 SP each, and will remain there until next quarter's change (April).
Slith (Oske x Soli) | Gnarl (Lacer x Rogr)
Nikko (Maki x Reve) | Shu (Oske x Reve)
Scavenger Hunt
As you know, there are two big multiplayer events that occur per year. One is little scav (Jan) and big scav (July). Little scav is coming up soon. It will begin on January 14 and will end January 21.
Plan wisely. More information will be available as little scav nears. Little scav will have 100 tasks on its list. Little scav will allow teams to have 10 players. Big scav will upgrade to 15 players.
Stuff
Some stuff, like the forest, is still open. Yasu will close it when he has time. You will not get any further warning for when it closes, as it is considered officially "closed" since this morning (though you can enjoy it for however long it lasts).
Predicts
Because of this thing being openly available, Frey adjusted market predict ceilings higher to:
10 GP for a set of 4 LBC predicts.
5 GP for a single BC/HBC predict.

Last I looked at the seasonal shop, it was open, JUST managed to find that last candy cane for an Essence of December, and the shop is closed. Just my luck.

Ohhh wow! I was contemplating on what to do with my MHC, and BC, and know I know both are going to be Sliths. Or ones going to be a Slith and the other will be a Nikko.

I really like the top row Reve and Melo, as well as the Insi. :) Also omg I've been waiting for the scav hunt! :D *excitement* And hmm... I might have to try for a Nikko. xD The hybrids look great, but the Shu's pose looks quite similar to an Oske. :o I'm surprised by how much I'm liking the Gnarl. x3

OMG! My name got picked for the Slith! *is flabbergasted* How awesome I got to name my favorite of the new species! Hooray for finally getting to contribute something to the site! xD
