Some clarification...

Items

Hey all. I figured this would be a good time to clarify some breeding items. Some people have had some misunderstandings with things.

- Fertility Potions do not work on hybrid breedings! They only work on same-species common ones. This includes MeloxMelo, SolixSoli, etc. You cannot use them on Lunaris, Xaoc, Vions, Flux, or Selkies.

- Metal Breeding Coins do not work on rare pet species! You cannot use them on Lunaris, Xaoc, etc either.

(As a note: check to make sure you aren't breeding anything that is drastically different in lineart with these either. You are allowed 5% wiggle room, that's it!)

- Half a Lesser Breeding Coin does not work on hybrids or rare pet species either!

The above items can be used on 'uncommons' without problem. Note that uncommons are only Ornagas, Quils, Oakls, Meeps, Chiros, Unus, Suune, and Cerby.

If you submitted any breedings that could potentially go against the coin/item rules above, please message me with the IDs of the parents and the date in which you submitted the breeding, and I'll review it to refund you your coin/item. If you need any further clarification/have any other questions then post them as a comment, but this should address everything.

Thanks guys! I'll be going through to find any breedings that breach rules otherwise. Read what the items do before using them, it only makes delays and problems if you don't!

Hey Frey, you prob should mention something about Old X Newlinearts like if you use a half a coin to breed old x new melos. I was quiet upset to learn there is a huge delay on those guys cause of the confusion they caused. I would not of breed any of my melo pairings had I known..

Since the SCC and Hyrbids aren't listed in the uncommon section, both count as rare? o.o

Can we get a clarification on Holiday Breeding Coins too? Are they basically like BCs that don't produce hybrids?

Where has it ever said Scc were rare?

SCC's are what I'm wondering about, along with other people too I guess. :>

I bred a quetzal x quetzal in the past with a fertility potion, and I got 2 babies. Is that all right still, or no? -confused- Or did I get away with something I shouldn't have?

I *may* have mistakenly bred two Lunaris with a HLBC, but I don't have the date on which I input the breed, should I just wait until you go through it or should I send you the ID #'s without the date?

Slash told me on a help board that SCCs were fine for HLBCs and the fertility potion, and people have MBC bred them before so I'm pretty sure they're fine for all the above.

I think so too Imay because I am sure I read the same comment from Slash after they were released and I know many people have bred and gotten pups back which were scc bred with HLBC or metals. Im curious though because I have been waiting for 4 or 5 scc mbc breeding's from the first of October..

I think it would be extremely helpful to have site pages that say every breeding item with everything that item can do on each species it could do it on. Yes it would be a lot to type out.... but then you would only have to do it once. In one spot. Like the aywapedia but for breeding.
