Site Update
Obviously, we love pets! I was thinking about something we could sponsor for this holiday season and came across the Friends of Animals Spay/Neuter Program. That's where you can find vets in your area that accept their spay/neuter vouchers, and someone online buys the voucher for you so you don't have to pay for the operation.
Vets these days are expensive, and spay/neuter is no exception. If you have a pet that needs spay/neutering but you're not sure if you can afford it, check out the Friends of Animals site and put your zip code in. Follow the instructions (contact the veterinarian to confirm the veterinarian's participation and ask about any additional charges) then write down the vet's information.
Send me an email ([email protected]) with the vet's information, some information about your pet, and a photo of the pet with "Aywas" somewhere nearby (for example, on a piece of paper next to the pet). I may select you for a free voucher :)
I'm going to pay for about 10-12 free vouchers depending on turn out.
Your purchase of GP goes toward events like this ♥
Keep making people (and pets) smile!

This is a wonderful thing to do for people. Recently, I picked up a voucher to neuter AND get my dog up to date on all of his shots for just $10. The only thing I would say is be very picky with the list of vets that come up. Research them a bit. My aunt got a voucher to fix her cat, and I almost did, for a thing they were doing at a local co-op by a good number of vets. I didn't like the sound of it and didn't bring my cat. She did, and they overdosed him on anesthesia and he died. Many other cats did too. :\ So just be VERY picky with the vets you're looking at.

This is cute. :)
But unnecessary for me since every year/twice a year there is this spay and neuter clinic that's free anyway. :D
but maybe I'll buy a voucher for one of my friends. (I kind of doubt that it will be accepted though, as my only friend in the US lives in a corrupted hell-hole)

All my animals are fixed, but this is an awesome thing to offer. <3
I'm glad that Aywas is talking about it. And suggesting the Friends of Animals. Thats what we go through for all of our animals, and it really helps.

This is an awesome thing to do! I was lucky enough to take advantage of a low-cost program and got each of my pets done for $25, including shots. For those who don't have that option, this is a great thing, so thanks Slash!

Another reason I love Aywas, the money we spend on here goes towards great real-life causes. :) This is a wonderful thing to do.

I love love love love love you for this, Slash. I have three dogs and a cat, all fixed, but the vet bills were ridiculous. I was able to get my cat into a $10 spay/neuter program last year, actually, but the dogs... yeah, that was pricey. :c It's a real problem, and it's nice to see the money we spend here going toward fixing it, even in a small way. <3 ~ Di

Excellent idea! Luckily, my dog and both of my cats have been spayed already. It wasn't always that way, though. My dog, Saydi, wasn't spayed for a long time, because we wanted to breed her. We were always careful that she wasn't around un-neutered dogs when she was in heat, but we also just didn't get around to breeding her... Eventually, her uterus became infected, and filled with puss. It had to be removed, or she would have died. She might not have survived the operation. Luckily, after a long recovery, she came home and is still with us today. :) But after that experience, I can really VOUCH for how important it is to spay and neuter your pets! Thanks again for your generosity, Slash; you could be saving some pets' lives!
