Spay/Neuter Vouchers

Site Update

Obviously, we love pets! I was thinking about something we could sponsor for this holiday season and came across the Friends of Animals Spay/Neuter Program. That's where you can find vets in your area that accept their spay/neuter vouchers, and someone online buys the voucher for you so you don't have to pay for the operation.

Vets these days are expensive, and spay/neuter is no exception. If you have a pet that needs spay/neutering but you're not sure if you can afford it, check out the Friends of Animals site and put your zip code in. Follow the instructions (contact the veterinarian to confirm the veterinarian's participation and ask about any additional charges) then write down the vet's information.

Send me an email ([email protected]) with the vet's information, some information about your pet, and a photo of the pet with "Aywas" somewhere nearby (for example, on a piece of paper next to the pet). I may select you for a free voucher :)

I'm going to pay for about 10-12 free vouchers depending on turn out.

Your purchase of GP goes toward events like this ♥
Keep making people (and pets) smile!

...I love you guys. T.T This is why I love being part of a community like this. Someday, when I begin to make money, this is exactly the kind of thing I want to run. My Mom and I have talked about opening up a no-kill shelter in our hometown, and buying out all the vets in town for a free spay/neuter clinic once a year.
Thank you, Slash, for using Aywas to do something amazing for the community.

oh god! you'd be such a lifesaver!

When Bo moved up here with me her moms cat had just had babies and she brought some up with her. I have 3 females now in my house that are around 5 months old and I've been worrying about how I'm going to afford to pay for all three of them. Even if I only got one voucher that would still be a HUGE help since females cost more to spay then just snipping a boy (internal vs external operations)

I have to get an app put in! <3

That is such an awesome, Wonderful, and all around great idea. :3 I am happy to say all of my cats are spayed. I've always been a big proponent of spay/neuter. X_X Wish everyone was. Like say the place where I work. X_X there is a Huuuuge feral cat population. And instead of trap/fix/release like a lot of places are doing they just let them keep popping out babies.

It's annoying. I mean...my aunt, who has barn cats does that. She found a vet that will do it at cost for her, since she had so many cats to bring in. O_O

Oh my.. this is a wonderful idea! My dog molly is 9 years old but acts just like a pup.. during heat seasons she is so miserable and such.. around here it seems that getting a dog fixed is too expensive.. I might just enter this and donate some money for GP...

This is an amazing idea! Unfortunatly, I'm in the UK, but I know first hand how hard it is to afford to spay a dog; me and my mom lived on benefits for a while, and after my dog at the time had her little of pups (she was a show dog - it was expected by the breeder that she have at least one litter) and her womb collapsed, we had a really hard time trying to get the money to have her spayed. So, yeah, this is amazing. I really admire you for deciding to do this. <3
