Exchange Currencies

Items

These items seem to be falling from trees in the Haunted Forest lately...

Will you collect enough to use as exchange currency on October 31st?

The Halloween Pumpkin is the king of all pumpkins and r80. The Melo Pumpkins can be traded in for Halloween Pumpkins in the currency shop, and are r30.

A couple people have been asking about these - they will be used in November.

You pay the merchant. In return, the merchant hands you the item Edible Custom Crystal and thanks you for your business.

Here's hoping that the items in the prize shop won't be a hellish pumpkin-amount prices! :P
*Goes to loathe myself for flinging all my money at that sadistic temptress in the Haunted Forest*

I understand keeping them rare, but saving all the leaves I've earned from dailies, playing games and exploring over the past year isn't putting in the effort? I've spent most of the bp I'm supposed to be saving for that awesome potion I've wanted for months now and all I'm getting is the same few foods over and over again.Last year I never even saw a pumpkin in a random event and the only way I got anything is by exchanging those leaves.I feel very discouraged right now.

And makes a drop in BP so everyone's poor, like you seem to have a fascination with. What, exactly, is so 'economically bad' about people having BP and GP and stuff? Honestly? If you want the prizes to be rarer, make them cost more pumpkins, not make the pumpkins right-below-impossible (unless you pay millions) to find. At least then more people would be thrilled to search for them, even if the prizes cost tons of them; it makes a better market for people to find them and sell them, so people are still spending money, on them, anyway.

Dember, please watch your tone. This is exactly what Eri talked about in her previous news post. I'm interested in your suggestion after the first few sentences as it seems feasible and I like people to be happy but you really need to tone down the attitude.

Well...if you change it now, people that have already spent loads of money on it won't be happy. Maybe one pumpkin will be enough to get a super-duper-awesome prize? :)

Tone? You can't exactly hear a tone in text, and I wasn't being in any way rude, snappy or offensive at all, nor am I now. I'm offering suggestions which everyone seems to highly agree with. In no way are you under obligation to accept them, but you should at the very least consider them, shouldn't you? It would encourage the entire user base to participate in this event, rather than the few people who happen to be rich enough to afford to buy from every merchant they see, as well as have highly-trained exploring pets, wouldn't it? It just makes sense, to me. Please do not assume I'm having an 'attitude'; you honestly cannot tell a tone of voice from reading text, which is obvious, because you completely misinterpreted the one intended in my previous post.

I would so love it if you did it that way. I'm also wondering if it's possible to see the prize list with prices so that I could budget my time and prioritize my efforts..

I think lowering the rarity of the pumpkins and just having items cost more is a good idea in itself. Personally, I'm motivated to go after the pumpkins just -because- they're so rare (it helps that I just got an OCC, which is making me more excited to want to give the merchants my BP) but at the same time it's a bit discouraging in a way. I can see it being a lot worse for people who, unlike myself, do not have several 100k nor a good explore pet to work with xD; -Ire

I'd love the pumpkins to reflect expenditure of time rather than expenditure of money, kind of like the event points did :D I think that could perhaps be a more fair way to approach it? The merchants are awfully expensive for very little return, and if it were a time thing rather than a money thing, it wouldn't be limited to users with higher incomes/savings :D
