After a long day and night of debating minuscule changes (but hey, it made it look better), we finally came to a decision regarding the melo. It's going into a revamp, and we've fixed things as much as we could to make as many people happy as possible while still retaining sensibility to our style.
Submit new Melo Colorations!
If you are unhappy with the melo's new lines, you should be pleased to know that we are coming out with another set of crystals that will let you submit old lineart pets directly without having to make them as new lineart pets first.
Thanks for sharing all your opinions, comments, and fixes, and we hope you can enjoy the new melo. We will let you know when the revamp is complete (when all site colors have been revamped). Until then, feel free to submit old lineart melos as you desire.
There's an Ay feline pet coming soon too... look forward to it!

Well I guess that's better, but i'll be waiting for this 'special crystal' to submit old linearts. I hope it wont be too expensive or i'm pretty much not doing melos anymore, which were my favourite :(

For old melo customs that were distinctly feline, will we be able to convert them over to the feline species instead, if we want?

Polls are for gathering information about mindset of userbase. Slash has never said that these sorts of decision will necessarily be made democratically (we should be happy we get asked our opinion at all, some petsites wouldn't even bother). In the end, reink may have gotten the most votes, but those supporting revamp have been a LOT more vocal and a LOT more willing to work on finding something everyone can be happy with than those who voted for the reline, from what I've seen. Majority isn't enough, you have to make yourself heard, and they did. Hell, I wanted a reink originally, and they won me over.

Why even bother taking a vote if it's not going to matter anyway.
Do not like the new. ;_; It looks goofy and cartoony to me, especially the muzzle.
New feline species? I'd a kick-ass canine species, man. We have tons of cats. :|
