The Melo is the only remaining pet from the old art. The art itself is three years old, and has many proportion flaws.
An update would consist of:
- all new colorations occurring on the new melo base
- old lineart can be submitted for two months past the revamp completion without requiring Dawn Crystal
- existing customs have a 6-month period to convert to the new base for free
- old and new can breed together fine with LBC, where old x old = old, but old x new = new, as with all other revamps we've done
A revamp would take 1-3 months for us to complete as it is. Above is the sketch we have for our redraw melo. It is trying to be as close to the original melo proportion-wise as possible, while trying to fix some of the glaring errors on the original.
After that comes the lineart, then we start recoloring all the old colorations onto the new lineart. (: There are two ways we can go forward from here.
So, yeah. What do you want?
BTW, you can redline the sketch if you want.

I adore {K}e.z.z.e's blue line to pieces. I seriously think that's the best one I've seen so far.

Despite how I feel about it, the vote looks like the redraw will go through. So my thoughts on the redline...
With a longer, squarer muzzle, and sturdier paws, I would probably be able to grin and bear it. I strongly feel that with the current redline, though, it looks too...Neopets-ish. It's too cutesy. Not saying anything against the artists who contributed, but I think that it needs to look a little stronger. Otherwise it'll look as silly as the old lines.

The current one looks okay, I would like to see it a little less girly. Its head seems too big, or its body too squat.

The melo is cuteish fright now and we need to keep it looking the same otherwise if its too different a lot will complain. Therefore we need to do a recount. A lot don't mind the current sketch from the forum but if it changes to much we need a re-vote. but for now Slash just get the final sketch done and put it for vote :)
