We will be using twitter to make micro news posts instead of updating the news when smaller events and announcements happen. You may want to subscribe to our twitter account to stay updated.
More important posts from the twitter will be posted on this thread. Micropost Announcements. It will not be updated as frequently but should contain anything semi-important but that does not merit a news post.

Hmm. I'm skeptical of the idea. I'm certainly not interested enough in twitter to frequent it myself much less make an account. As long as the link to Twitter stays on the front page and can be seen without an account, I think it might be workable. I guess it would depend on your definition on 'small' updates.

To be honest.. I don't have Twitter and I don't feel like I should make a Twitter account. Couldn't micro news posts just be made onsite? O_o

I too do not have a twitter account, and REFUSE to have such a meaningless site try to snag my attention every moment of every day.
Perhaps as a compromise you could also make a sub forum or sticky thread on the announcements threads where you can also post the mini-updates for those of us who do not use Twitter and never will?

uhm.....what about the peoples that have no twitter account? i'd rather not have one of those; my parents probably wouldn't let me anyway XD;
i mean, sure, I could look at the site on occasion, but hmmm~ lets just hope that these 'mini announcements' are just things involving mech. delays~~~

You don't need a Twitter account to check out the Aywas account - I don't have Twitter, will never have Twitter, but it doesn't stop me from checking it ^^

I'm with others on this. I refuse to have facebook and twitter. This just makes things more unconventional for people like me who hate such places. If I wanted to be on twitter and facebook, I would be. I don't want to, however. I like Aywas keeping it's posts here on the main site.

Again, I'll say this for anyone who -didn't- read the bottom of the news. Slash compromised with us on this issues, and has stated at the bottom of the news post that there is a thread in the Announcements forum for these new "micro announcements". You don't need a twiiter, or to even visit the site. Just subscribe to the thread and you'll get event messages that will tell you when the thread has a news post by Slash or Yasu: https://www.aywas.com/forum/topic/52513/
