can't support donating to help fix a problem made by someone who not only should be able to clean up after themselves but can also afford to pay other people to clean up after them.

@ Ink Dragon: There is a cap on the amount of money BP can be fined for damages caused by this oil spill, and that cap is $75,000, if memory serves. In short, they are probably only going to do so much, and then they can just wash their hands, go home, and say, "Who cares?". Exxon basically did the same back when I was a kid. Furthermore, by the time they get around to placing blame, a lot of wildlife would be dead without the help of non-profit organizations and volunteers. If we lived in a perfect world, big companies would clean up their own messes. We don't live in a perfect world, and BP isn't going to clean this up on their own (nor will they likely get more than a slap on the wrist form any government agency). Sad, but true.
