Hey users, I have an announcement to make regarding Flux and Lunaris breedings.
Slash has informed me that Flux and Lunaris LBC breedings weren't supposed to get 2 offspring every time bred. So from now on, be aware that Flux LBC breedings have a 70% chance of giving only 1 offspring (will be rolled, 30% is for 2), and Lunaris LBC breedings will only give 1 offspring 100% of the time.
Now, this affects all Flux/Lunaris breedings in queue currently and in the future. If you have any in queue at the moment and you want a refund of your LBC because of the rule change, please let me know and I'll refund your LBC as such. I've instructed my artists to stop working on them until everyone currently in queue has chosen if they want to continue with the breeding or not.
Past recipients of Flux/Lunaris offspring are not affected by this. Again, this only applies to current/future Flux/Lunaris breedings.

I agree, Red Cape--At least Slash isn't saying "We now have labeled them unable to breed" And causing us all the stress.
Although it is disheartening...theres always a reason and well, this is a good reason. Right?

I noticed that the Flux pets seemed to be growing a bit wildly, and not selling for that much (especially compared to hybrids and stuff), so hopefully this will help people keep the value of their rare pets high. It does suck for people who seem to have budgeting it expecting more than one baby, though... Thanks for offering the refund, that's pretty cool of you guys. - Pin

That, my friend, is a complete gyp. :/ Especially the lunaris one. Are you serious?? You're making all the stuff we spend money on worth less and less.
You won't see me breeding fluxes or lunarises.

I don't really think that it's the number of breedings that reduce the value of the flux/lunaris. I think it's the fact that not all of them have very pleasing edits at this point. I know they are supposed to be rare, but I still don't think it's cool to try to fix the price of them this way. People will pay what they think the pet is worth-- and honestly while I like some of the pets this doesn't make them 'rarer' to me, it just makes it stupid to breed them and cost-prohibitive. At some point I'd have loved to get a custom lunaris pup, but at 40-50 GP or what ever people will charge for them now? Nah. It's not rare, it's just not worth buying.

Then it's doing exactly what I hoped. People will stop breeding them a ton. They'll only be bred if it's REALLY worth it to the buyer.

I agree partially with Elijah. I never really thought the flux was all that great looking to begin with. (The lunaris on the other hand is one of my favorite looking pets.) Look at melos. They're the most common pet on this site and I still see them go for all the way up to 50 GP. It doesn't happen that often, but it still does. People are going to pay for something they want because they love the appearance, not just because it's a rare breed. But at the same time, I see where you guys are coming from. However, I think you should have thought about this beforehand. It's not fair to say one thing and then take it back, especially without letting the CURRENT breedings finish with the old rules. Regardless of giving back the LBC, that's still unfair because there are other expenses people have had to pay aside from the coin.

Agree with Johnny. I still haven't made my flux, because even though I love my designs, I'm unsure if I wanna commit to them, or just sell the spots. I wouldn't pay a lot for a flux baby because they're not my style... but melo's will always sell for loads. :P Going to be the way of aywas, I bet. The 'cute' pets will sell for more, always. Kinda ruins my plans for breeding them and making money off them, though, so I doubt I will be. xD Not when I can use my coin to get two from another breeding and sell them for more. xD Also, I think the fluxes are overdone right now due to everyone getting breeding coins / LBP's from the event. It's bound to happen a bit, but I think the surge will die down a bit. Okay, that's my two cents. xD

I understand the rule fully. I'm kind of happy that it was put into place too. It makes the rare pets rare after all. *Shrug* But that's just me. It's better than labeling them all unable to breed. That would keep them strictly rare, so I'm just happy that they're still able to breed at all. lol
