Hi guys! Here's something I've been thinking about: many of you seem to really dislike the phanto, and I'd like to ask: why? Is it because it's not animal-enough? What about the design or pet in general do you dislike?
We have been considering changing the phanto into a ghost dog-like sort of thing (not necessarily a dog, but a ghost quad). Would you like the phanto more this way? Do you prefer it the way it is now? We want you to be happy!
Please share your thoughts!

I don't really like them because they are so bulky.
It would be really cool if they were horse-like, because I really love horses ;)
And dog-like wouldn't be that good in my opinion, since there already are Melos for that..

A less "beaky" face on the phanto would be nice....Rather than redesigning the phanto, why not redesign the Reves? Those things are horribly ugly, they need a much different pose. Maybe in flight or something, but they're just horrible as is.

I really like them the way they are. :D They're my favorite species, and Gracie and I are collecting them. I'd rather they just stay as they are. ^-^

I don't like the face mainly. I like Kitty's idea and think that something similar to that one would be more popular.

Adding a bit more complexity to the shading and more colours and/or upgrades of the current colours would do wonders for this pet. For example; the Rainbow Phanto is so obviously just a gradient that someone threw into it, the Jade Idol just looks green with slightly lighter green dots;' it doesn't look like jade in any way except perhaps that it's green... but... that's as far as the comparison gets.
A simple alteration of the foremost eyebrow would do wonders for it's expression.
The 'arms' having the larger curve bend toward the back rather than the front would aid in the flow and make them a bit less 'awkward' seeming.
I'd rather not see them go quad. there are plenty of those around. Just tweak.

-not going through the 300 some comments on here- What I dislike the most is that it is top-heavy. Even though it is a ghost, it looks like it would fall over completely. And there isn't much of a neck. The head is just kind of..plopped on there. The 'arms' bother me a bit..maybe because there just seem like wavy cloth and wouldn't be able to do ANYTHING. There isn't much room to make designs, and you can't do much for editing it. I do know it is a ghost of sorts and shouldn't look like any one thing/creature, but..yeah. xD I like it otherwise. And a ghost...creature thing..sounds interesting. -Kai

Sorry to double post but there's no edit function in this thread? Hmn finally managed to scroll up to see Skitty's sketches. Have to say I love the way they look and I'm very into the transparency suggestion as well.

I love it as it is now. I think that I would love it less if it was changed to something more animal like. I WOULD like to see more tendrils added to it... Like... In the malavolent colorations. Something to make it seem less coorpereal, and more ghost like. But I think thats more a style thing than a change to the actual breed. The only thing that I don't like about it is how few of variations there are on the colorations. There just aren't that many phanto colorations out there. I only really collect Limited pets, and there are only THREE Limited phanto colorations, which is why its more difficult for me to "collect" them.

I've never really thought the Phanto was that great. Definitely my least favorite. It does have some really cool colorings, but I don't like their body design. Why? I just see it as...sort of creepy. The other pets are all really cool or really cute - but the Phanto is just a bit odd! The colorings, like the Lost Doll or the Murderous are pretty cool, but some of the colorings are a bit boring, whilst other pets have really wild colorings, nothing really too plain. I wouldn't mind seeing the Phanto change, honestly.

I love phantos. I'd only support a redraw if they still looked like spectres/ghosts, not animalish. D;
