Snapdragon Ceremony: Challenge 3 Begins

Events

The scents of the freshly made and delivered food hung in the air. The sound of ice being slightly crunched as champagne bottles were sat upon them could be heard. Rowan had her eyes closed and listened to the sounds and enjoyed the smells of delicious food. Her stomach growled in agreement.

Apparently loud enough for Minerva to even hear, as the normally broody gardener couldn't help but give a small, but fleeting, chuckle. She looked at the venue with some satisfaction, though it still felt...off. She looked at some of the balloons that had been collected earlier in setting up the venue. "Of course, it's missing some decorations." She mused softly.

Rowan immediately snapped from her midday daydreaming to look at Minerva, and follow her gaze. While yes, they had balloons, it certainly wasn't enough. Not for the Snapdragon Ceremony!

"We could definitely add some magical enhancements, and we'll need music!" Rowan added. She could already picture some floating candles and beautiful curtains to accent the place.

"There's also a nice assortment of foliage and herbs this time of year, brought in from all over." Minerva nodded sagely, thinking of things she'd like to see.

"Well, then we better get more snapdragons! Those decorations won't buy themselves!" Rowan chirped. Minerva wondered just how they hadn't picked Ay clean of snapdragons yet.

Once again, the challenges for this event will require you to collect different colors of Snapdragon. They will be available in pink, orange, green, blue, white, yellow, red, and purple. Your team leader, Rowan or Minerva, will tell you which color you will need to turn in. Be sure to work together and try to overcome the opposing team!

The ladies would like to emphasize working together - they have noticed some people have been taking naps instead of helping! If you have not participated since the beginning of the event and still do not participate by the end of this challenge, you will be removed from your team with no opportunity to rejoin. This is to ensure that it remains fair to all active participants.

You will have until 6:30 PM AST on April 16th to accumulate points for your team for this challenge.

Going to second many of the previous posts here. Firstly, it's prohibitively difficult to even find the items in Adventure, particularly when you don't have much time during the week to begin with. That brings me to my second point of contention: it feels like you're punishing those of us who are having to work (THROUGH A PANDEMIC, THANK YOU) during the week and have serious obligations to jobs and loved ones that leave us with precious little time to do anything other than bathe, eat, and sleep. That excessive price gouging is a really good third point - it makes it nigh impossible for most people to even contemplate purchasing them to "participate" - but seeing how ridiculously low the drop rate is, I can't even be mad; they probably had to click for 3 frickin' hours to get just one item. Absurd. And finally, I would like to add that it's very (disappointingly) ironic that you're talking about kicking people out of an event for being busy during such a crisis when time is at a premium and is something many of just don't have... during an event supposedly about love and celebration. That's just so hypocritical it makes me sick. Seriously? I get that you don't want a bunch of people that you see as "non-contributing" riding on the coattails of others, but this is just a bit much. Events are supposed to be fun, not condescending and stressful. In poor taste, disappointed in and ashamed for you.

This whole event I feel has just not been planned out very well. Not enough communication upfront on how everything works. The whole reason players are getting booted for not participating is because member numbers change the final score of each team, so not being able to contribute is taking everyone else in the team down. But where was that ever mentioned? In a comment on the THIRD news post about this event. Not even out in the open in a news post. Not even in the first news post about this event. In a comment. A few days into the event.

And the reason I see most (I'm sure maybe there are a few who are trying to get a free ride along) aren't participating is because they can't find any snapdragons while trying to participate in the time they have. Snapdragons are so hard to find. The only reason why I've actually been able to contribute a bit (and not even that much) is because I have the item to see what items shop keepers are selling, and I find about 90% of my snapdragons through merchants. I'm pretty sure not everyone has that item and so not everyone wants to just buy every single item from the merchants in hopes it's a snapdragon. Some might not even have the money to continue to buy snapdragons from them even if they have that item.

I remember when we last had to collect snapdragons that they were such a big pain to even find then too and lots were complaining. Why was nothing about them changed since then? I understand these can't just be popping out every step since that'd make it way too easy, but as they currently are they barely show up every 100 steps or more, and that takes a while to do.

I will say it sucks when I'm not finding even 1 from adventuring so I emd up having to spend all my BP (over 6 million) to get what few I could! I am frustrated mostly but also upset because this is supposed to be about the wedding and it just feels out of place in the current climate. I think it's good, a positive to outweigh the negative, but to punish players for this seems harsh. I HOPE my contribution keeps me on my team because I love this event. I've been waiting for this event. And I am just trying to see some positive. But I can understand and sympathize with those upset.

Looks like it I get cut for "lack of activity" then I will be in good company ❤ good luck, everyone. Off we get kicked, maybe we can throw a party with the snapdragon or junk we found 😂

Not participating/lack of activity literally means you have donated 0 snapdragons during the entire event. If you have donated even 1 snapdragon in round 1, round 2, OR round 3 you will not be removed from a team.

I apologize we did not clarify this in the news post, we thought that it was clear but since there seems to be some confusion, I wanted to jump in the comments and clarify for those people who are worried their activity won't be seen as "enough." As long as you have donated more than 0, you will continue to be a part of whatever team you chose.

Can the removal of non participating people be added to other team events in the future if there’s more with this scoring system? It’s really not fair to let someone with absolutely zero participation drag the entire teams score down. I was glad to see it implemented this time around.
