Have you had enough of the color pink and hearts yet? Well, we hope not, as the Seasonal Shop is now open! There's an assortment of goodies available, but don't fret if you cannot purchase everything you want at this very moment. You will have until 11:59 PM AST on February 29th to continue sending love to each other and grabbing what you'd like from the shop.

We hope that everyone is having a good year so far, and that there has been minimal paper cuts from flinging around all those envelopes!

I think you may be forgetting that the shop is priced based on the user average of points. So if there are less people, meaning less points, the shop will be priced lower as well.

(though the latter is kinda a drink I guess)

It's true that I did not factor for that, so my bad there. Thank you for pointing that out.
But it is still true that getting the letters is hard - and there's several comments on this that say as much. I still also stand by my statement that the sheer volume is driven to be less, including the potential volume of love potions.

I miss those times when the Seasonal shop was stocking Engagement rings. It was really cool.
It was the only item that i think is worth to send the LL for. I don't participate in this event anymore after the ring was removed.

I've been pretty consistently negative about this event, so I'll explain my reasoning in depth here. I'm unsure how to phrase this.
Here's the main problem I have with it - look at the online list, it's anywhere from 40-58 users on at a time. Double that, and that might be all the points you can get, given that most of those names are recurring. Next year, that number will likely have dwindled again. I think that the way it's handled is not sustainable, and my experience with it has been pretty poor. I do look for letters. I do send them out. But the drop rate is poor and the userbase is small now, and compared to other events the amount of possible points is small. I know lots like the event, but I think there's some problems with how it's done right now.
How I see this could be solved is to make it so you can send more out the next day, and ensure it is in the shop without any stock limit so people can't benefit from snagging them all and reselling high.
