We were given the opportunity to have our Folium redrawn by our official pet artist, and of course we took it. :) Because this pet is still so new and I hadn't anticipated it being redrawn this fast, Dawn Crystals and recolors are going to be subsidized through June 8th.
This means, up through June 8th, if you want a Dawn Crystal to turn your redrawn folium back to the old lineart, it will be provided to you free of charge if you contact Luci (#16) and show her your folium.
Subsidies for recolors will be capped at a maximum of 5 GP. This means that you can hire an artist to recolor your folium onto the new lineart and this will be paid for up to 5 GP by Aywas Administration (you can, of course, pay more - but you would pay the difference). Just ask the artist to contact Luci with the finished recolor image and a link to your folium to receive payment. Then, when you get your art, you just have to contact Luci for a Dawn Crystal.

I think for some reason some people are seeing two of the same image. I have gone over this with a fine-toothed comb and on my screen they are identical. Anybody have a link to the old image, and then to the new one? :D

The new Folium lines are cutesy and very...round. I'm not liking how stubby-chibi they look now, though the expression is nice. Also, the teeth not being colored is driving me batsh*t insane. It's gotten to the point that's all I'm seeing. @___@
Prefer the old lines for a few reasons: they make the Folium look longer, leaner and more statuesque. The scaling on the chest looks puffy and unattractive, the shoulders look like they're dislocated because of the way the "spikes" are drawn and the tail is a fat sausage of green stuck on it's arse-end, never mind that the coloring job is super-saturated and looks rushed to my eyes.

I love the old body, especially the flowers, but I like the new face. If I had the choice I'd want the old one though. I can't stand the new design's back leg either.. D:

I think I like the new one better, though the head seems slightly too large to me. This is a cool species, though, and I hope we'll see more non-custom ones coming out at some point.

It certainatly matches most of the other hybrids now (ie. looking child-like to teenager). I think I like it. :3
