Site Update
Allo'! Long time no see folks. I just wanted to take today to address a few changes based on interactions I have had with artists over the past few weeks.
Design Panel Changes
We are only hiring artists who are accepting GP or Artist's Credit as payment from today on wards. This may be changed in the future, and artists may be contacted about pre-pay as well, but the base pay will only be GP or AC.
I have had several artists express that they would love to just be able to grab a design when they have time and finish it, as such we are no longer requiring artists to finish 1 design a month. We have been loosely monitoring it as is, so we are officially removing that requirement. The only timeframe is if you grab a design you must have it complete within 2 weeks unless there is an agreement between the artist and user.
I have also revamped the old Design Ticket Catalog KB and it is now the Design Ticket Feature KB article, it still contains the previous catalog along with additional information.
Due to these new rules you must pm me, Kaiyo #489 stating what you want as payment and what team you have applied on before I will process your application.
As such with these changes, I probably just denied your application if you had previously applied to be on MDT or the Design team. If you are interested in applying with these changes then please reapply!

If anyone is still planning to turn in any sets for the Mayday sale, this is your last reminder that the due date to have all sets turned in to Mayday Marie (#11) is tomorrow, May 12th!
In case anyone needs a refresher, the Mayday Sale will run May 16th through May 20th, with May 21st being the normal credit day. The item needed to nab an Exotic pet is the Exotic Spring Egg, and for those of you who are new to the sales, "Special Credit" is credit that you can only accumulate during the sale by making purchases! The details for the days themselves are as follows, so be sure to plan accordingly:
Thursday, May 16th at 11:00 PM AST

Friday, May 17th at 12:00 AM AST (this begins exactly one hour after the previous one!)

While not all of the sets have been turned in, feel free to indulge in a little bit of a sneak peek at what lovely pets will be available this year by visiting the Event Exotics Box!
To simplify it: The Sweater Egg is still showing but it is not the egg that will be used! If you buy a sweater egg you will not be reimbursed

I wonder, how will users know what (in general) artists will and won't do for the cheaper tickets?

When you are searching through the artists to pick for your ticket, generally they'll have some sort of blurb about what they will or won't do. Alternatively sometimes it's a very short blurb with a link to an onsite forum post where they explain in more detail (that's what I did, forum post had all tier information listed). Not all artists will do it, but it was fairly common practice when I was active on the team.

Again, edit button XD
Meant to keep going a bit, in that it's really a thing where it's 100% unique to each artist. There isn't really a way to blanket statement them in general, so it's really just best to look into each artist you might be interested in and check out if they have more information.
Very very vaguely, newer artists tend to do more for lower tickets than more experienced artists, as the newer ones are still establishing themselves on the market where the older ones already have a good idea of how much they can price their work for so to speak. It definitely doesn't apply across the board, but if you recognize an artists name as being a bit of a vet, chances are they price their time a little more carefully.

'Design Tickets are required to input a request into the system. They are found in the USD Shop alone, as well as bundled into a package with a Gold Custom Crystal in the USD Shop and the GP Shop.'
(Bolded parts relevant for confusion.)
Are you planning to put the bundle package in the GP shop, or is this a mistake?

Are prices supposed to be 10% off or 30% off for premium users?

By “double premium,” that means we get double the time if we upgrade today, right? I just renewed my account a few minutes ago, but it didn’t double the premium coverage. Am I just reading that wrong?

That Ginger Kid (#27833) it doesn't start until 11 pm aywas time tonight. But after that, premium will last twice as long if you buy it, yes.
Haru (#46917) as the post says, 30% off on May 17th for premium (and the last hour of May 16th).

AremRae (#3998) thanks for all that info, it makes it easier to understand. Though I kind of feel that with the new system maybe the "cheaper" tickets should also have a lower percentage or something like that... Not that I've worked with it - input from people like you, with experience, is probably more useful! :p
