PBC artists

Hi everyone, here's a quick note to answer a question I've been asked recently. Yes, PBC apps are open.
However, like all other teams, I am only looking to hire credit or GP-paid artists right now.

Payment is 45 GP for the first offspring +15 GP if there's a Life Seed attached.
Information on credit can be found here.

If you're interested please apply via the panel's application form. If you have any questions this artist's guide will hopefully answer them, otherwise you are always welcome to message me. Please use PBC - username and ID as the title.

If you are waiting for your PBC breeding to get assigned please make sure to check your artist choices every now and then! The list has recently undergone a few changes (including new GP artists) and you must have three artists selected for it to get assigned unless it has an Artist Ticket attached.

casixt 👑 lemny (#7087) I suppose I could go back to occasionally doing a feature like I used to do? But with only the showcase of offspring that was processed recently. Obviously that only works for artists who get assignments and not so much for those who don't. :c

But it would revive the status thread which you're also welcome to chat on! Talk about how you've used your time without assignments to work on your art and post examples? And of course link to your breeding artist threads and tumblrs and whatnot. =)

And you can still additionally start a thread for PBC artist chatter and art, of course.

^Okay, I'm looking through your tumblr again, p.poke, and what I'm getting out of it is that I chose you with the ticket because I love pretty much ALL of your examples. I was going to pick out a couple besides the one parent to add to the notes, but it would end up being like half your tumblr, at least :P

Perhaps instead of a spotlight, having a page set up like the SCC page. Randomly selects what different artist did so everyone can view both old a new work

I don't think that's the best idea for the PBC artists; especially the lesser known ones as it would be heavily dominated by those few artists who are constantly chugging out babs; because they've had more to hand in; and therefore more work for the 'random picker' to choose from :')

Honestly i think that setting up a thread where artists are free to post up a wider range of examples & Vampi doing the spotlight again is the best idea.

Maybe it would be a good idea to do a 'spotlight' once every week or so on the artists who have an empty queue currently too; and pick examples from the ones they post up in the thread or something?

I really loved when Vampi did the spotlights, and I definitely think restarting the spotlight for most recently processed babies would be nice! And I think doing a separate thread for extra work and stuff for artists would be nice. Maybe, Vampi, you might be able to do some sort of hybrid on this sort of thing? Maybe weekly with the recent babies, you could also highlight the person with the least amount in their queue (or like the lower amount if the same person's still at the bottom of the next week) for a mention of different style and a faster turnaround for someone who's been waiting a while, perhaps? And pull an example or two from the separate thread if they have offered anything else? :o I don't know what would be the best option, but I like something along those lines...
