Site Update
I'm really bad at news titles in case you guys haven't noticed...
But.... I'm here to post a few quick notices! First up we have a user suggestion from Kirara, introducing the Fancy Rock Custom Crystal and Fancy Rock Crystal Wand! These super shiny items will allow you upload an edited version of either the monthly Rock Custom species, or one of the retired monthly Rock Custom species. When submitting with the Rock Crystal Wand, please include a link to the original pet in your comments to help our crystal checkers! These items allow up to 50% edit room!
After seeing a thread about the confusion of the Painted Twins and Painted Eggs being compatible (but not actually being compatible) we have decided to truly make them compatible! From this news post on, if you combine a Painted Twins and Painted Eggs with either a PLBC or PMBC, you are allowed to submit 3 predictions, but will not receive a site baby. Please keep in mind that married pairs do not affect the amount of predictions you are allowed with this combination.
If you used Painted Twins but only want your predictions and not a site baby, you can mention that in the notes and my checker will process them quickly.
I am happy to announce that the temp artists I have hired are doing great! If you wish to ticket or pen one of them we are going to keep the Sketch Breeding Coin knowledge base updated! The Painted coin KB articles are not yet updated with the GP artists, though we will be updating those soon as well! If you wish to pen one of them feel free to list "GP Artist" in your notes.
To conclude, I wanted to make everyone aware that I am going to be out for the weekend! I have to make an emergency trip to Michigan for family troubles. I will still have my phone and will try to address what I can, however please understand that I won't have much time, and for a portion of the trip I won't be able to get on at all.

I don't get the purpose of requiring a combination of painted egg + painted twins to get 3 predicts (and only the 3 predicts so no site made one).. why do that when you can get a site made one + two predicts with just a painted twins.. yeah, you may not like the site made one, but at the same time you wouldn't have to do the predict yourself (which means a lot if you are a slow artist like me) and/or you don't have to dish out for a /third/ predict...paying for 3 predicts plus paying for the coin + add-ons , would cost a hefty amount in the end... but my main point is i don't really see a reason why someone can't get 3 predicts with just a twins or 2 predicts with a painted egg (no site made baby, just to clarify)... it wouldn't cost the site money... and with how you were into weeding out breeding teams and gcc/mdt teams, it seems to me like having less assignments to artists would save the site money as well... people would still be buying the coins potentially with usd so it's not like they wouldn't be a source of money either... it just doesn't add up to me. seems very arbitrary. maybe there's a variable i'm not putting into the "calculation" however??
i also don't see why people can't have an extra predict for married pairs (or a 50/50 shot of one regarding pmbcs)... and thus sacrificing a site-made one (or potential site made one regarding pmbcs)... this also seems like an arbitrary decision.
it was stated that there was nothing meant to discourage predicts. but i honestly feel discouraged from doing anything to get an extra predict. as i make my own predicts 9.9 out of 10 times, i feel it really devalues that time and effort it makes for me to make my predict... and thus makes doing the twins/egg combo for 3 predicts not really worth it barring if you are extremely picky and have the GP/USD to burn for 3 whole predicts (though i really don't know if anyone does GP predicts nowadays barring maybe for friends...). Even the fact that i'd get my babies back sooner if it was all predicts doesn't tempt me... so yeah... you can say it's not meant to discourage.. but i'd label it discouraging or at the most it's something that targets only a certain faction of people aka people who can afford it, whether literally or meaning the time/effort needed for predicts if you do your own... and not everyone has a lot of time. so it really needs to be worth it to take part in taking advantage of this new allowed feature...(idk what to label it as so "allowed feature it is" lol)
probably could have said it in less words and definitely at least in a less confusing manner but i'm tired and wanted to make sure i got the specifics of my point out because honestly the twins/egg update doesn't add up for me. at least the reasoning to be a little.. weird.. about it... not meaning to offend by calling it weird of course.. there is probably a reason behind it i'm not getting... but whether or not it changes the fact it's really not worth it to most, may or may not change, reason for it or not.
the update for me was like "yay! ...waaaaait! what?? *reads details. is confused. reads comments to clear out the confusion but it leaves me bummed*"
the fancy rock wands/crystals was neat over all however! though either they aren't released yet or i can't find them anywhere *scratches head*

Goldendiamond (#69437) We did not change the original function of the addons. You still get 2 predictions + 1 site baby with a painted twin, unless you do not want a site baby then you can request in the notes for no site baby.

Yeah, the painted breedings bit just make it feel like predicts are being discouraged because users are essentially getting penalized for wanting to have predicts instead of site babs (penalized via having to pay MORE for the same number of babs in spite of having to either pay more or work more on the predict side of it).
Feels pretty cruddy.
