Merry Aymas Everyone! So sorry for the delay, but after much pain and constant working we have finally prepared the long sought after Presents and Stockings!
They have been given a pretty large overhaul, and many of the items inside have changed. You will no longer find the retired Holiday Custom makers in them, except the Holiday Raw and Holiday Silver custom makers. You will be able to find the new Winter Warmer #25, and Delicious Eggnogs that have also appeared in several of the random packages!
Some major updates that we would like to unveil are that the Leaning Tower of Presents has had several items added to the list of items it can produce, some from past years and some of the newer items! The Tiny Gift Box no longer offers a chance to obtain Holiday Breeding Pendants, as they are no longer obtainable. However, we have increased the BP rewards and changed the large prize to Animated Crystals. As for the other changes? Well, you'll have to crack them open to see!
Please be aware that Presents and Stockings are not able to be opened until December 25th!
Platinum Breeding Coins will be stocked in the GP and USD shops until December 26th at 11:59pm AST.
Delicious Eggnogs will also be in stock in the GP Shop until December 26th at 11:59 pm AST, and we are also offering a special bonus! For every $15 spent in the USD Shop or on GP you get 1 free Delicious Eggnog! This deal expires at the same time the items are removed from the shops! A second reminder that for every $5 you spend you also get a Holiday Gift Package!
The Holiday Rare Potion has also had a bit of a change, as you can now make Scarl and Original Ornagas!
If you're looking to get a last minute WOW present for someone, the 75% Lunaris, Vion and Violinn makers are now stocking in the GP Shop too! They will also be with us until December 26th at 11:59 pm AST.

so there is no way no how to get the pendent, ever unless some one puts one up for sale? they don't say retired in the item data base, but i would assume that is for the people who already have them?

last year everything was around for like a month.. plus several things were cheaper. there were pbcs in the USD shop and stockings and tiny gift boxes were available in the bonus credit thing... so ... just having things available for 4 days this year is kinda unfortunate.. I know it is common sense to save.. but many people have probably used up at least some of their funds for aymas presents by now...
and I don't know why delicious eggnogs are 9 GP (10 w/o premium) now when they only have a 10% chance of working.. that would mean on average it takes 10 to work... sure people might get lucky... but last year I got like a million eggnogs (i forgot how..) and at least once, if not twice it took me over twenty to work... and I never got two in a row to work on anything.. so now the average for working would got around 90-100 GP which is way more than a BC....and a bit more than a fair priced blind date as well..... so saying there is a chance for a rare doesn't change the fact that the risk factor kinda makes it not worth it.. it's like chance items are enticing... but never worth it...even elaborate presents come with a risk as i got like 3 last year and they were all bust... it's not like any of items added to the GP shop would equate to a breeding that would cost the site money.. custom makers often make the site money as people will commission someone for a design in which the site gets a 10% cut or the person will have to get a design ticket of some sort.. in which also would get the site some money... or they'd make the design themselves.. site wouldn't get any money then but it wouldn't be a loss either... And again, the fact people only have 4 days to get stuff kinda sucks... as that gives little time to sell/trade.. especially with giving gifts at the back of people's minds... as stuff was around for awhile last year.. well into january.. it gave people opportunity to get stuff for themselves after aymas... and that was rather nice..
and it's just.. kinda disappointing... not to mention many people tend to be busy around this time of the year so i wouldn't be surprise if sometime in late december people complain about p. much missing the part of aymas people look forward to the month... I can sorta see why the site would do this.. but it's not a pleasant sort of why and I think its neglecting the userbase a little bit... i mean.. it's aymas... of all times to be generous towards people's desires, now would be the time... and I'm sure I'm not the only one a little put off by some of the changes... I feel like a bit of a scrooge knocking on this year's aymas festivities but... idk... it all seems so rushed... >_>

🎁❄Kaiyo❄⛄ (#489) no gift boxes or stockings in the collect bonus this year? I remember that last year you were able to get the tiny gift boxes and stockings using the collect bonus credit and was looking forward to using it for gifts. Kinda disappointed that it was left out.

Pendants have been almost impossible to obtain for years now. its why the site's super careful anytime they allow even a chance at getting one.
The reasoning behind it is the very real work they have to pay artists to do breedings in queues because of a regenerating item that doesn't go away and is only paid for once. You can generally tell who's super rich on the site if they have a pendant that's not an RBP. If they have more than one, they're rich, -and- an old player, who was around to be rich when they were on sale.

My guess is the items in the list it opens into are different. So if its coded right, the extra gp you pay for the nicer stocking will give the person who opens it better stuff.
No clue what said stuff for any of the three stockings is though.

Kaiyo thanks for all you do :) I see a lot of people pinging you to say they're upset so I want to offset that! Whatever decisions are made, idk who actually makes them but your work is appreciated! I'm glad to see these items in the shop and will patiently await when the fixes are made. (Also I hope you get a nice break from working here and/or elsewhere for the holdiays!)

JScofi (#49041) I'm not rich (am older player though) and I have an HBP and only since I came back to the site did I start using it and for the most part I don't use it on a regular basis. Matter of fact I even have traded slots for it twice for event items that I didn't have time to get myself. I got mine from a tiny gift box (IF memory serves me correct).

Eh, you forget, the pendant itself, is what makes you rich. The evil breeding pendant, arguably the worst of the non-rbp pendants as it has a break chance, just sold in the forums for 1540 GP worth of items and currency.

oh lol I thought I could open them rn. will they only be openable ON christmas? BC I can prob log on to get advent and not much else, tbh. Not to mention that it's 3 days away and I might forget I even bought a cracker. xD
