Site Update
Everyone knows that November is the best month, so we're going to start something new with the news posts starting this month. Every month, I spend a good 7+ hours typing up the intro news posts and uploading everything along with the rest of staff, so we're going to start breaking them up. On the 1st will be the Shop pets, Lunaris, and Premium Item, along with any potential updates. Then on the 2nd will be the new RCC and the Jeweled Custom Pets. Obviously, due to Halloween our new plans are set back a day, but that's how it goes!
Now onto more colorful topics, these lovelies look like they are ready for the cold air!

Hngh that Maple Leaf Suune is so pretty, omg. Must have! But I'm not seeing it on the list when I try to use a Transformation Potion, those work like a GR right? Does it take time for the list to be updated?

Ah, it's only a day, I don't mind waiting to see the jeweled custom bases. :) I'm very excited to see them tomorrow, though!
In the meantime, bought myself that elk pretty darn quickly. Thinking of getting that sweet little hedgehog, too. The kazoo is super super cute - wondering if I should use a transformation potion to get it despite the poo, hahah

It's more that it's disappointing that it feels like you are undervaluing a feature of the site. Different users like different aspects of the site. So it's kinda like being told oh you like this feature? well we don't think it's as important as this other feature so it gets pushed back a day. Oh and since here's a holiday / event that makes it even less important so it gets pushed back even more. So how long does it go before it gets pushed off to oh when ever we get around to it, or well there wasn't enough bases submitted so we are retiring it.
I know you guys do a lot, and most of it is done by hand.... but some times the particular choices you make on what to do and what to leave for later make the users of the site feel that the parts of the site they enjoy are not important or cared about by the admin who run things.

I'm sure they just divided things up following the normal post format. This is the half that usually comes first.
And honestly, my main interest is HA items. You *really* don't want to start complaining too loud about "features getting little focus compared to other features", when your favourite feature is one that get as much focus as the jewelled pets. My main interest just has had two months where it didn't happen at all. ;)

It's really only one day difference, though. If it takes Kaiyo 7 hours to prepare everything for the first-of-the-month news post, it's really unreasonable for us to continue expecting her to do that all at once. One day doesn't say that it's an undervalued part of the site, or that the fans of that part of the site are undervalued. In the grand scheme of things, once this is the regular schedule for things, we'll notice even less.

Tae (Only Treats) (#66637) The other option would have been to push back the news on BP and GP shop pets with one day and then those who think the shop pets are more fun than the jewelled customs (and as someone who makes pets for the shops and prefer to wait until the jewelled customs can be done with staves, I guess that includes me, though honestly I don't care about a day in either direction) might be upset instead. I don't think you need to fear the customs being pushed out of mind entirely just because of the one day difference ;)
And personally I think it might be good to space the news a bit. Sometimes when there's a lot at once you can tell people miss the earlier posts or whole paragraphs of the post made, and that's such a shame.

Tae (Only Treats) (#66637) If anything it's giving MORE attention to the feature by it's getting it's own post. Monthly posts are massive, and by separating them it prevents them being drowned out by other monthly news mentions.

If doing a whole Welcome to November thread at once is too time-consuming, maybe we should start a new tradition of a tiered roll-out of features, like BP/GP pets on Day 1, Jewel bases on Day 2, etc.
I don't want poor Kaiyo to be overworked. <3

Tae (Only Treats) (#66637) It is a single day, so I can't truly understand your sadness about the situation. You are not losing anytime to submit your pets, it is just moving it. The pets always retire when the new ones are released. I cannot guarentee that, and if there is an issue with the wrong genus you can post a help thread or contact a moderator. It has to be done manually, and as I said in the first post I normally spend 7+ hours working on the monthly stuff so non essential things end up slipping. It has always been said that if the proper genus isn't there you can submti them to the wrong genus and we'll fix it later, or to contact a mod or post a help thread, because most of the time we're too busy to even realize it has happened.
