Awww... Bad luck. That could have been an interesting battle.
You can normally submit bases every month between the 1st and the 7th (Eve is usually very stable with these dates).
So even if you miss the news post, you can go into the event forum in the first week of the month and submit you base like that in the future. :)

May is a bit of a busy month for some too and their where a lot of post these past weeks so the HA contest did probably get a bit buried too. Also there some real life stuff too from Mother's Day & final exams. Though for myself I should be finished with exam(s) & might do the clouring part.

The monthly pets for the BP, GP, and Free customs probably will have similar results as most people colouring are entering the may event, and things being submitted for shops don't count for that.

I must choose the first this time, but I really like the hair and eyes of the 2nd! <3
I've always wanted to try at HAs but I'm afraid of shading and lighting. I wish they allowed Co-ops... x3
