Breeding Updates & Report Updates!

Site Update

We have a few announcements and changes!

eggcoin2.png

We've had to make a change in regards to LBC breedings. If one or both of the parents is 75%+ edited, then the breeding will require both PSDs to be submitted. Please note, that this only applies when the parent-in-question is a G2+, as G1s that are 75%+ edited cannot breed to their original genus via LBC coins.

Example: Melo that is 50% edited is bred with a Melo that is 78% edited. You must send in PSDs for both. (Please send in PSDs to [email protected] with the email subject labeled with the custom ID the PSD is for)

NOTE: Teo and Faux G1s are the only exception where 75%+ pets can be bred to their original genus via LBC coins, however will still be required to follow the PSD rule outlined above.

If PSDs for these breedings are not, or cannot be submitted, you can either submit user predictions or request a refund for your breeding. This change is retroactive. As we come across breedings that need PSDs submitted, we will be refunding them if the PSDs are not found - so be sure to either check the "Will have predicts" option or send in your PSDs.

If you have a LBC breeding with a parent that falls under the above described situation and you do not have the .PSD files directly on-hand, please use this thread to make certain that we have the .PSD on file. Please don't assume we have the .PSD before checking!

To see if we have a site pet PSD, please check this spreadsheet. If the pet is listed on this spreadsheet, we do NOT have the .PSD file for it. If the pet has been released after the last updated date for the spreadsheet, please proceed with caution.

magic_silverbreedingupgrade.png

We are officially retiring the Silver Breeding Upgrade; it now opens to yield 3,750,000 BP. This means that you no longer need to attach this upgrade to SCC LBC breedings - just make sure that your breeding involves two of the same SCC species on the same line set. If the parents are so different that we cannot recognize them as the same line set, your breeding will be refunded.

We will refund any Silver Breeding Upgrades we find in queue as we come across them, though we recommend that you remove them yourself.

We made a small tweak to the Standing Stones Review page due to a user suggestion.

You can now view your submitted breedings by what is pending in queue, and what has already been assigned.

We also made a change to the item database pages for breeding add-ons!
Examples: Cool Blue Pet Carrier , Platinum Dollar

We're hoping this makes compatibility more understandable on those pages.

The "Report Violation" link at the bottom of each page has been changed to direct you to a KB article regarding contacting staff members.

We are no longer using the previous report feature that use to be linked at the bottom of each page. We prefer that you directly contact moderators (or in specific circumstances, admins). However, open reports from the old feature are still being seen to.

I have a question about addons - When the Unstable Genetics and Halloween Dice addons came out myself and others had asked if they were compatible and were told yes. So I submitted the breeding using both.

Now looking at the new breeding addon thing it says they are not compatible. The breeding I had submitted has been assigned, so I can't take the addons off now. Will both addons be used? Or where one is not compatible is it basically wasted now? Or will the non-compatible addon be refunded?

How do you figure out the percentage, especially if the coin or maker isn't listed...

I'm actually a bit intimidated by this change. I don't check edit percentages on my pets that are a result of breedings, and I don't do predicts. There have been several times I've been asked for PSDs for pets that were site bred (after submitting the bred pet for another LBC breeding). I'm not really sure how I feel at potentially being held accountable for something that was site artist error, unless I've read this incorrectly. :c

I'd really hate to submit a LBP breeding, find the pet wasn't in the edit % and the artist didn't bother to submit it, and then have the refund either not happen or be different? (I'm not sure how it works with LBPs anymore because I haven't really been keeping up, but last I remembered they weren't possible :c).

Taena (#66637) - Can you PM with the breeding ID of your breeding? Unfortunately they are not compatible since the Halloween Dice lets you choose a hybrid for your breeding already. :(

Pansycat (#33081) - Check out this KB article or there are some lovely users that may be able to help you out. :)

Feeshy (#880) - I suggest if your breeding involves a site-bred baby, to check in the PSD check thread I linked in the news post to make sure the site does indeed have the PSD. That will help give you peace of mind! :3

We can refund pendants. The only downside is it doesn't take into account where in the regeneration period it was, it just makes your pendant appear. So if you were close to your pendant regenerating anyway, you technically lost a breeding opportunity if it gets refunded. (I hope that makes sense).

So you made the change retroactive just like with HBC coins? Great. Why not make some leeways like when you allowed to submit 2 predicts for a certain period of time so users could get 3 babies? Making changes retroactive without any sort of refund is not really cool...

[K]ookies & [M]ilk (#1010) sure - when I asked back when they came out I was told it was fine since I was using a Greater Fertility potion so would be getting two babies and that the dice would effect one and the unstable genetics kit would effect the other.

[K]ookies & [M]ilk (#1010) What I'm not understanding I guess is why the Unstable Genetics Kit and Hallwoeen dice are not compatible when the Unstable genetics Kit and Hybrid genetics kit are compatible? If you are using a greater fertility potion and getting 2 babies, only one will be effected by the unstable genetics kit leaving the second baby in the breeding to be assigned by the genus picked by the Halloween Dice or Hybrid genetics kit. If the Unstable Genetics Kit was not compatible with addons that let you pick the genus of your hybrid then it would not be compatible with the Hybrid genetics kit as well.

Taena (#66637) - For some reason I was thinking of Unidentified Embryo. ;; Sorry about that. You're right - that's a bit odd. I'll look into fixing it up. :3

[K]ookies & [M]ilk (#1010) thanks ^ ^ Like I said I thought it was weird that it would be compatible with one but not the other...
