I don't think amazon giftcards work for amazon payments. I tried. And upon looking up the "rules" or fine print of giftcards.. it doesn't apply to amazon payments. well it was either there it was stated or somewhere on the amazon payments website. I was pretty bummed as it was mentioned to be usable here some some user but alas i think there were wrong. But -maybe- I am missing something? IDK

and to the people wondering, the 20th would be tomorrow. If it was October the month would be mentioned as usually when people say a date without a month it tends to be the current month if possible. Actually. when people don't say the month is -should- be the current month always. Otherwise, it is probably a mispeak of sorts and easy to confuse people. Plus, in this case, the mystery box has never lasted more than a few days the few times I have been around for it ;x

I picked Teo in the poll because Black Friday Teos are something special... and there are not a lot of ways to get them... Fauxes seem to be big right now with the box, but they are more common that teos... but seeing as credit can't be used for the event I guess my opinion does not matter as I won't have enough to get anything.

A quick question - I know that our current collect bonus WONT go towards the Black friday bonuses (to prevent what happened with that Teo fiasco) but will there ever be a time where we can get anything else to claim besides the Special Delivery? Like for Aymas or a breeding season or something?

First of all.. Is the black friday sale in september? I read back the deadline was the 15th of september.. considering black friday is the day after thanksgiving that seems really early... O.o Though maybe there are other reasons /shrug

Wasn't MayDay a disaster because the usd auctions for the chargebacks (which had A LOT of petts for auction.. some of the prices went up there too. didn't like almost (or more thn? 10k get gathered?) included credit?... That would be 100 Teos alone... so while Mayday was doomed from the get go.. Wouldn't that be irrelevant for Black Friday because as shown with the usd auction after that, the teo psd, etc auction gave no credit...

Though it seems something else went down last Black Friday. i wasn't here. It was before I started playing.. Maybe even before I signed up (which I admit was months before I started playing. I signed up in vain at first. but then I actually started playing.. hard to explain. lol).

In any case.. Now even more than ever.. it will end with people who can afford to spend more get more.. because it doesn't even take into account people who could afford a day one day after months of saving... it is now people who can afford a day one Teo right then right there, which will be a lot more limited...

I guess this will help with not selling out on the first day maybe?? as that struck an issue with all the bonuses to be paid in may...

Still.. I almost see it better as them selling out quickly with more people having a chance at first day grabs than it just being for those well-off people or people who get paid at the right day right time... and idk about others, but I once had a job where pay checks were sometimes -late-... so some people may miss out because of unfortunate circumstances like that. or whatever. plus. if it actually happens around the actual black friday.. people are already spending a lot of money... which is now making me think maybe the aywas black friday is in september (in which case dammit. I spent a lot for the mystery box because I thought I'd have until mid to late november to save up orz).

In any case, can't there be some middle ground? Like idk. a limited amount of Teos (or fauxes) can be gotten with credit). like only 1 via credit on the first day. 2 on the second. 3 on the third day.. etc etc (is there even a fourth + day?).. and maybe make the prices high.. like 150 dollars of bonus credit on day one. 100 on day 2. 75 on day 3. etc. etc. Then their can be separate way to get them as mentioned. and the way mentioned will have the advantage! and perhaps to get a ticket for a teo via buying stuff for the dollar would be buying half the amount of stuff as regular credit.. so like a first day Teo or faux would be done by purchasing 75 dollars worth of stuff on day one (and then 50 dollars of stuff on day two). the prices will have to be down than from 100 bucks of credit (idk what is meant by reward or how much one will have ot buy to get a teo or faux so I'm ad libbing lol) to even sell a fraction of them sooner rather than later. Unless I underestimating the money some people have... I know I spent a lot today. But yeah. definitely not gonna be able to spend of fraction of this amount for a long time. I don't have a job. just do odds and ends and I recent did with some others an odd and end. and lemme tell ya. I never want to see a can of paint again in my life.... omg! It was a slow process at least so not overwhelming but yeah.. next job I hope to be an actual job that is more my style and doesn't make me contemplate chopping off my own hands so I can't do it anymore.. it really killed my art drive too.. like super badly...

So yeah.. as things are.. Black Friday is gonna be a bust for me while having a crapload of Bonus credit.. just sitting there... the special delivery scc base(s) bonus doesn't really tickle my fancy at all. (not to knock the artist. just not my tastes I guess. idk) :(

Maybe Slash will do something along the lines of:
Black Friday Teo/Faux item in the USD shop for X$ (100$, for example) on day 1,
Day 2: 75$ in USD shop, etc. going down by a certain amount every day until it reaches the lowest price Slash would like Teos to sell for (25$, for example).
On Day 5, you can buy a Teo from the USD shop for 25$ OR use 100$ (or some other amount) of bonus credit to get a teo.
Day 6 - 25$ or 75$ bonus credit
Day 7 - 25$ or 50$ bonus credit
Day 8 - 25$ or 25$ bonus credit


This would give the site 4-5 days to earn direct USD off of Teos (and pay for the artists getting bonuses if their sets sell out on the first day!) but also gives people who have bonus credit a chance to use it. This also means that if you spend USD directly on a Teo, you get first pick since bonus credit is a BONUS and something you get for free when you buy GP or USD items. Bonus Credit even existing is great since you get free stuff on top of what you bought (even if it's only worth 50 gp it's worth something.)

Or a special bonus credit that is only available during X amount of days so if you buy 50$ worth of things on Black Friday, you would get 50$ bonus to put towards Teos?

Who knows what Slash is planning, I think the bonus tiers have the potential to be awesome even if they don't include Teos or Fauxes.

The USD auctions had exactly Zero to do with Mayday.

The major hang up with Mayday was that everyone has hoarded hundreds in bonus credit, so nobody actually spent cash the day the Teos were released. Slash had intended to give the artists bonuses but the combination of nobody spending more USD for Teos and all the Teos selling out on day 1 meant Slash owed ALL the artists bonuses for every set they drew and he didn't have the kind of money he needed to make that happen.

Yeah he would have been slightly less in the hole if the charge backs hadn't happened but another episode of MayDay Hell would still put the site in a pretty nasty hole, because it meant he didn't have thousands of dollars he expected to have in order to pay artists.
