This sounds like a culture thing, so out of curiosity because I honestly don't know this: Why are deers = fall?
(I'm in Northern Europe, so Halloween is only just entering here through aggressive marketing from toy stores as well. X) )

i wish i knew how to ping better oh well, my feeling could be different from others, but where i lived little after Halloween was deer season for meat along with turkey. plus always have seen more in the colder months from fall, winter and just the beginning of spring and wont see them for a few months. along with my mothers side it was tradition to in the changing leaves to watch the deer and in the snowfall. along with holidays deer and goats of have been symbols used many times as well.

Ah, so obviously it is a culture thing that's just not done where I am. Thanks. I had no idea. (But then, the traditional Danish version of "Halloween" is in February. Sometimes there's just fun little differences in customs)
