Site Update
The Faux Box is loaded and ready for you! Inside the box, there are over 300 Faux designs waiting for you to peek through.
The concept behind the Faux Box is the same as the original Teo Give and Take thread. You create one Faux base that's about 50% edited, color it five times, and submit it to the box. If your submission is accepted, you get a Fox in the Box item which allows you to pick one custom from the box and take it home! They all come with PSDs to download so they're all breedable... right out of the box.
Players are encouraged to collab on the colors or design of their set if they want to! Have fun making Fauxes! Please note that submissions have to be at least the same quality as the designs in the box to be accepted.
If you are desperate for a particular Faux or you don't want to design any, you can also pick up a Fox in the Box in the USD Shop for $25.00.
Faux are a rare species and customs can generally only be obtained through the Faux Box feature. Feel free to chat about Fauxes on this chat thread!
A lot of artists have already submitted Fauxes to the box while we were loading it with our commissioned ones, and we hope that you continue enjoying this new feature! Have fun with the Fauxes!

Oh man these are lovely. I wasn't too keen on them at first, but looking at those last two coloration on the news post here makes me want one. XD Too bad I can't art to save my life and really can't spend money as I'm jobless and trying to move at the moment. Hopefully can breed for one or there will be another way to get one later on.

Man, I just got back into the art groove to continue commissions.. By the time I fit in time for fauxes, a lot of them will be gone.. probably? I don't know what to expect to be honest xD Plus it will probably take a few tries to get anything I edit to pass... I have absolutely *no* eye for edit percentages. and I'm *still* confused about whether reshading counts as edits or not :C.. my edit repository one was also rejected without a note.. so seeing here that there is not note with rejection is a little annoying.. If it is something beyond lowering the amount of edits, people need to know.. they should even be told to what extent they over edited...
I mean..i mean if it is quality control.. that also needs to just be spit out.. It may make one feel mean or whatever, but why make people play a guessing game and keep trying and working hard only to just get rejected again and again.. or they should at least know it is the overall style of the faux that needs to be worked on.. so they need to approach fixing it probably completely differently than they would without knowing why it was rejected at all???
and I'm not sure what is meant by "the same quality" by the ones in the box.. when even the ones in the box aren't all the same "quality" per se... not to be harsh.. and the weakest link might seem to be a different one depending on the person too... But if one is expected to keep the same quality as the top notch commissioned by site ones, should any other user even bother? or should many of the people whom are attempting even to bother? .. maybe putting 'around the same quality' would be a little less demanding sounding than 'at least the same quality
' ... users looking to get fauxes via submitting customs aren't getting paid with $$$ money either.... we get a single faux custom item in return.. yeah, it costs 25 bucks to buy one... and I don't know how much each commissioned set was paid as but i'm assuming around that? not that it is any of my business... but idk... money just sounds like a better motivator for better quality then a pixel pet.. so i think the expectations are little high.. with how it is worded? A little anxiety-inducing too.. and if one's self-esteem isn't too great.. yeah.. they just might not bother at all, even if it all in their head and they would make an awesome set (or two even! whatever)... If the way something is worded can affect or manipulate someone psychology that is never a good thing :c
(no, not everyone would read into it. but there is never a shortage of sensitive souls out there in this lil planet. so the scenario is not unrealistic... I personally am not sure I want to bother because I'm slow at editing and know I'm gonna have to re-do my first try (at least) like a million times.. Idk if it is worth the effort.. pfftt... I don't kid with myself. My sanity might literally be at stake... but I'll probably work on a faux when taking breaks with commissions.. prolly because.. because I'm a bloody masochist ?? (lol, not really. I mean.. I think not really? I hope not really... thatdbeweird._.). xD; )
*breathes* ok, just had it get this out. heh. ;>_>

I know this isn't related to the Fauxs but was the monthly item for this month implemented yet? I completely forgot about it until just now while checking on some Fauxs I made and liked for reference on who adopted them.

its pronounced however you choose, none of the aywas genus have been publicly pronounced (except once there was a scav task asking everyone to say them all, but that doesn't count as awyas saying how its pronounced)
