The Faux Box is loaded and ready for you! Inside the box, there are over 300 Faux designs waiting for you to peek through.
The concept behind the Faux Box is the same as the original Teo Give and Take thread. You create one Faux base that's about 50% edited, color it five times, and submit it to the box. If your submission is accepted, you get a Fox in the Box item which allows you to pick one custom from the box and take it home! They all come with PSDs to download so they're all breedable... right out of the box.
Players are encouraged to collab on the colors or design of their set if they want to! Have fun making Fauxes! Please note that submissions have to be at least the same quality as the designs in the box to be accepted.
If you are desperate for a particular Faux or you don't want to design any, you can also pick up a Fox in the Box in the USD Shop for $25.00.
Faux are a rare species and customs can generally only be obtained through the Faux Box feature. Feel free to chat about Fauxes on this chat thread!
A lot of artists have already submitted Fauxes to the box while we were loading it with our commissioned ones, and we hope that you continue enjoying this new feature! Have fun with the Fauxes!

though i understand the idea.. Expecting people to make High end quality pets for this Is a bit much :(.. How in the world dose a novice expect to compete wiht peopel who have had 4+ years to design Almost Lifelike Pets :(... I love you faux..maybe 1 day I will have one of you :(... I just wasited my time on editing cause I could NEVER design Life like colorations liek that... I wish i had known Before that We had to Design color Edits That were Super detailed & life like...:(..gues sill just throw mine away

Last year, the remaining teo's from the leave 5 get 1 event was made available as eggs in explore. Making them attainable to non-artist users as well.
My personal guess would be that the site will do something similar again this year, after most the highly desirable fauxes has been sold.
Keep in mind, for every 5 pets that goes in, only one goes out for the artists. And I highly doubt *that* many will be bought through the USD option. There will be a lot of pets available for a potential event in the end.
(and don't anyone dare to complain that they don't have time to do events either. The artists putting in 5 pets to get just one works for many hours to get that)

All of the artists have done a lovely job with these!
I would love to see in the future, if it's something the site would consider, unedited colored pets only released for these guys. I know that's not how Teos are done, but there's no reason that Fauxes need to be the same. :)
Also, out of curiosity, does the species name rhyme with box or is the 'x' silent like the dictionary word?

Its 50% or less. Though Slash did mention if its around the 50% mark you should be good =)
