Hi! I couldn't help but see the comments you both made ; v ;' And it's true straight people aren't oppressed but pride should be about loving oneself! And well I hadn't even thought about making any hetero pet designs... I felt kinda bad because there's nothing wrong with straight people and I'd love it if they would celebrate along side of all the other identities because straight is one of them and just because you haven't been oppressed doesn't mean you can't celebrate who you are. We all have so much love to give I hate to see people left out so I made a non-official straight pride pet for both of you it's not the best but if you want it I can send each of you a metal crystal to get them!

I hope they're okay I chose Phantos because like ghosts it's overlooked like a ghost but it's existence is still valid! They can be cute and playful and they're positively an adorable species and I think it does a decent job at showing that just because you're hetero doesn't make you boring or dull and you for sure shouldn't be forgotten c:

I also made an Alatus! I don't have the custom maker to get you this one but I figured I'd make a couple different designs! I'm sorry for commenting on this thread so much!

DogChansey (#16941) it came from either wing or the scarf trunk. I think everyone got the same thing. Im sure it will be taken out soon once they realize it. It's probably the "trunk" code that is no longer a trunk due to being used, but isnt going away. at least thats what i think it is :3

... gotta love straight+cis people complaining because ONE single event happens to NOT center around them like our entire human society usually does. Thanks a lot, really.
For your information, Pride events are not for straight+cis people, because straight+cis people do not get abuse and harassment for being proud of their gender and sexuality. Straight+cis people do not get murdered in the streets for expressing who they are.
All these people, like me, who are not straight, and not cis, live with these daily threats that straight+cis people can't even imagine. Story out of my life? When I was sixteen I was brought into the emergency room with a rib piercing my lung, a fractured jaw and a damaged ear because a group of men brutally beat me up for being trans. I am still deaf on one ear, seven years later.
Pride events like this are for people like me to be reminded that we too deserve happiness, that we deserve to even just life. Straight+cis people get this reminder every day of their lives in the media, in society, in everything around us. This is why Pride events are so important, and this is why Pride events do not include straight+cis people.
PS: I keep saying straight+cis because you can be straight and not cis, or cis and not straight, and in those cases, you do in fact have a place in Pride events.
Over and out, it's 5am and I'm off to bed. Apologies for any hurt feelings, but sorry, being a bit bummed out that you as a straight+cis person had no representation in a small online Pride event does not compare to the life-long harassment and abuse some people have to suffer just for not being straight or cis.

I think they just wanted to be included because they want to celebrate their identity, and well there's nothing wrong with that and I do see where you're coming from. I just feel like we should be celebrating love/gender of all kinds.
It's truly awful what happens to many members of the MOGAI and LGTBQ communities and it's very important to raise awareness for that especially. But really is it going to hurt us if we include Heterosexuals? Can they not stand with us in support and mourn over lost people and celebrate the progress we've made? They do get media coverage and it is normalized maybe that'd help normalize us too... if we included everybody they'd see the straight+cis people getting along in this beautiful event of pride and maybe get inspired themselves to help others.
We are not a separate species we're all human beings let's stand together and make the world safer for all the people who don't fit into binaries and orientations. I'm sorry if this upsets you I just wish I could unite us all and make everyone happy but I know that's impossible ; v ;''

I really get discouraged when I see posts like I've seen. Telling a straight person they don't know what its like to be treated the way non straight people are treated isn't exactly fair. True they haven't been mistreated because of their sexuality but mistreatment is mistreatment and none of it is right. You don't know the shoes people walk in. You don't know what they have had to go through in their life. For example. My ex almost killed me. I was in a coma for 3 months. So in that regard I do know what it is like to be hurt. Maybe not for the same reasons but hurt is hurt. This is a pride event so this should be all about that. I just wish everyone would get a long. I really hope I didn't upset anyone. That was not my intention at all.

ApocryphaAnimus (#65125) Sadly, Cis and Straight pride folks felt a need to tell me to kill myself over not including straight pride.
So no, I have 0 sympathy for anyone who complains that there was no straight pride items.
I specifically worded the banners, mochi and a few other items to be "Show support OR Pride" so allies COULD join in.
But hell and no to straight pride. It is toxic, and when we get DEATH THREATS and people telling us to KILL ourselves for not including Straight Pride? NOPE.
Line.
Sand.
so far over it not funny.
I try to play it off as, haha just another example of the internet is full of assholes. hahaha....
But every person who complains that there is no straight pride, in the back of my head I am looking at their typos and methods of writing and asking myself- "Are you the one that mentioned poisoning myself, shooting myself or the one that offered to kill me with the baseball bat?"
Because THAT is the type of mindset that straight pride fosters. JUST like White Pride.
If you wouldn't wear a swastika or a white KKK hood, then do NOT ask for straight pride.
IT IS THE SAME DAMN THING.

Thank you. My point exactly.
ApocryphaAnimus (#65125)
There is nothing wrong with being straight+cis. You want Straight Pride? Look out of the window. Walk down a street. Kiss you partner in public and enjoy not getting death threats thrown at you. There's your Straight Pride, it's active 24/7, every day of every year. Enjoy it and let non-straight people have one single event just for us.

I really want to love this event.... the theme, items, and pets are all so lovely. Not enjoying the surprises though. Wish it were clearer on what to expect (alas, only saved one pride sticker ;_;)
