Darn, I really liked that beach one! Perfect time of year too ;; I want to see it, but it's always the more mystical sets ;; Whoever made the beach set, please either keep trying or make the set. I'm likely to buy XD

Nothing is wrong, but that men's bikini does look funny, it reminds me this awkwardly cute joke from an anime
Somebody explains to me but somehow I feel both weird and liking looking at that scene. At you see, there is nothing wrong but till a bit of weird. So I belive Amell was trying to open up about her sense of normality and she doesn't want any guy to be laughed at dressing like that. Because there are people laughing at guys wearing bikinis.

The reason the beachset has a bikini for the breastless ("male") avatar base is because all items for the monthly contest have to work on both bases, and must be modeled on both bases. It's not a matter of guys having to wear girl clothes (though my personal opinion is that clothes shouldn't be gendered and anyone should be able to wear anything that they want to), just that the option has to be there for the item.
Looking at the submission thread, the bikini top and swim shorts are one piece.

I'm so amused, nobody was bothered the "female" wizard one had a beard haha~ XD I think they're all gorgeous, I can't wait to see which wins and which colorations we'll get!
