Site Update
Pride Month's first scheduled update is here! How lucky are you that two event shops are opening on the same day? The Event Shop is hosting the Pride Month activities!
First, hit up Adventure for Bonsai Rainbow Trees which are the event currency for this portion of the Event (this means that they can be used to buy the Event Items until the second Pride Month update). They are Uncommon items that can be found in all parts of Adventure.
The Event Shop is full of all kinds of awesome items! You'll be able to find energy items, HA items, fauna, and informational collectible items stocking for Bonsai Rainbow Trees.
The HA items available will make your HA avatar trans-friendly by offering bases with flat chests for both avatars, and bases with breasts for both avatars. There are also a bunch of tank tops designed for the new skins, both regular and Pride-themed!
This update's special item is a brand new Pride Month site background! Pick up an LGBT Clouds Background to change your layout theme to LGBT Clouds, a background design made by Syncline.
Of course, there are a handful of adorable Pride-related pets for you to collect in the Event Shop as well! Go check them all out and see if any of them resonate for you.
Can't wait for more Pride items? Look forward to the next Pride Month event update on the 14th!
Note: The Bonsai Rainbow Tree will be leaving Adventure areas on 11:59 PM on the 13th. All Event Shop Pride Month items will be cleared at 11:59 PM on the 13th. Get these items before they rotate out for the second round of Pride event content!

Aw man, I read here which places are the best places to find the trees and I'm nowhere near unlocking them yet. It's just up until Mountains for me XD
While I'm a cishet I have to say, those fauna are just the cutest things I have ever seen!

EssGee <3> Flora (#36207) I was merely stating that fact that I do not feel that for me that pet represents my point of view and and that I did not feel it was one that was appropriate for me.
If you want to talk about negative stereotypes just read some of the descriptions in the Aywapedia ... Like the Lesbian Pride Finx... I'm sorry but that description is borderline offensive. It's just how people interpreter different things due to their values and ideals.
I will say that both the trans Stellata and Slith descriptions are wonderful and really represent the struggle a lot of people go through. And the pride Flag Serafex has a great, on point message.
A lot of it is personal interpretation.. but some of the descriptions are very heavily stereotyped for the orientation they are supposed to represent.

Sketco! (#51092) I do apologies, as I was not trying to smear people who are Poly, only stating that myself I do not identify as such and have seen others who I am close to be hurt by people who were.
There are so many different interpretations of every different orientation or gender that a lot of the time things get blurred and confused. An event like this is great to get information about things you may not have had knowledge about or access to ... but it would have been nice if each type of orientation had their own pet, rather than one that had both traits.

Taena (#66637) That's true. It is odd that the artist chose to group pan and poly together, especially since I see more panromantic asexuals around (it even has its own flag), but ideally it would have been nice to have 2 pets for pan and poly.
I know people who are in poly relationships, and they constantly have to deal with people badgering them and saying that their relationship is unhealthy, etc. It's sad that the first thing that comes to most people's minds when they hear "poly" are those "religious" groups with 1 man and a harem.

Sketco! (#51092) Taena (#66637) - I don't know why pan didn't get more solo focus YET, but given the number of wonderful entries I'm sure we'll get some in the next two updates. Fingers are definitely crossed and I'll be trying to color a purely pan entry of my own.
The reason for the Pan-Poly Cerby is directly TO counteract the stereotype that surrounds both and multiplies exponentially when combined. You're attracted to EVERYONE, AND allowed to DATE everyone at the same time? CLEARLY, that must mean you lack any kind of standard, right? You must be the EASIEST sort of person. (Yeah, no. :\)
I've seen people use the Condescending Wonka meme for it. "Oh, you're pansexual and polyamorous? Tell me again how hard it is to be able to sleep with whoever you want." Because, you know, being open to the possibility means there are never any other inherent obstacles, and because 'normal' people '''can't'''' do that, apparently. 8'T
So I made a pet to counter both that and the Poly Lerna, which I ADORE, but the desc of which comes off a bit "not that there's anything wrong with that" to me. But I get the intent of it, and with the Cerby for balance it's a bit better. (Lerna is a full mutual triad; Cerby is a V. Because too many people actually think poly only 'works' when it's all mutual and that just isn't the case.)
Amusingly, I made both Pan-Poly Cerby and Pride Serafex-- and those were my ONLY two accepted so far-- so I find it amusing you mentioned them in near opposite context. xD;

EssGee <3> Flora (#36207) Oh jeez no those "promiscuous poly" stereotypes... And then they completely ignore all the straight men bragging about going out with lots of women. Logic...
Thank you for your explanation on the Pan-Poly pet, I think I understand now.

EssGee <3> Flora (#36207) Thank you so much, I hate seeing polyamorous people get smeared for stereotypes they aren't responsible for.
