June is Alzheimer's and brain awareness month, and this lovely wearable blossom is brought to you by Nemesis Valkyrie (#476) to help you go purple with Alzheimer's Association. Follow the link for information about Alzheimer's and dementia, issues that are hitting more families every year.
The item will be in Trash for Treasure for the remainder of the month, and will be removed July 1st.
Spreading the love is Prof Jamew (#2712) who wants to share this little imp fauna with everyone in celebration of their birthday tomorrow!

Thank you, Nemesis Valkyrie (#476) , for the Alzheimer's awareness item. My grandfather passed away when I was still young, and I realized I never really took the time to know him better before he started to change. At that time the illness wasn't really well known, and my family never told me more than "grandpa is ill". Since then I have worked with aged people, and Alzheimer's is sadly something quite common to be confronted with in that field of work. It's always very hard for the families, both mentally and physically. I hope science will be soon capable of at least softening the effects, and at better healing the disease.

Nemesis Valkyrie (#476) thank you so much for this item. My grandfather too fell victim to Alzheimers and passed away last october. These are a very nice way of memorating him.

My great grandma is currently suffering from Alzheimers. She can't take care of herself. We had to put her in a nursing home so she would eat and be bathed. Thank you for this ;;

Thank you for the alzhiemers awareness item, my grand mother has been fighting it for 10 years and has been bed ridden due to her mind slipping away. She at times forgets to eat, and occasionally breathe. She doesn't remember me or anyone in the family that's taking care of her and she deteriating fast :( thank you again

Thank you for the Alzheimer's awareness item.. It hits very close to home for my family and I. Seeing people you love deteriorate over time until they aren't even themselves anymore, while you are unable to do anything to save them.. is so terribly painful. -c

Thank you for the Alzheimers awareness item, my grandfather had it and it was a horrible thing, so ti's great to see awareness for it.
